Still in awe of this entire experience🤍🇩🇴.

One of my teammates and I had just talked about how one video completely changed someone’s life. Never did I think I would experience that myself. Yet somehow, here we are. It all started with my team chanting, 🎶“Divina, dale piquete!”🎶 Without thinking, my body took over, and out came my double celebration. I never imagined that moment would become so special.

Gracias a Dios for every blessing, opportunity, and every door He has opened (and closed) for me. I thank Him for giving me the ability to play this game and using me to shine His light on others. I will always give Him the glory.

To everyone who supported Team DR and me—thank you from the bottom of my heart. I can still hear the drums and horns🫶.

To my family—thank you for believing in me, encouraging me to take this leap of faith, and loving me unconditionally. None of this would have been possible without you.

To my teammates—you made this experience unforgettable. We stayed together, prayed together, played for one another, and balled out for DR. From laughs, tears, dominoes, mamajuana, “digestion walks,” our block party, and watching the sunrise at Boca Chica Beach—these are memories I’ll carry in my heart forever. I love you all.

To my friends back home—thank you for supporting me from afar. I felt your love in Santo Domingo. Sorry for flooding your feeds with videos😂. I hope you enjoyed a piece of the journey.

Lastly, never be ashamed of who you are or where you come from. I may not be bilingual, but I could not be more proud to represent where my father comes from. Wearing “República Dominicana” across my chest has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Be proud of your story. Follow your heart. Spread kindness. Lift others up. Stay true to who you are. Share your authentic self because God created only one of you!
