THE PROOF OF LOVING GOD

Many people desire to love God who is in heaven, yet struggle to show love, compassion, and kindness to those around them. Some have been blessed with influence, resources, opportunities, and positions of honor, but cannot humble themselves to help a brother or sister in need.

Consider the example of Christ. Though He was seated in glory at the right hand of the Father, He came down to earth. He saw humanity lost in sin, destitute of salvation, and in desperate need of redemption. Out of love, He humbled Himself, gave His life on the cross, and brought salvation to mankind.

If Christ could come down from the heights of heaven to lift us up, why can't we come down from our positions, privileges, and comfort zones to help those around us?

There are people who need encouragement, shelter, food, employment, guidance, and a helping hand. True Christianity is not merely professing love for God; it is expressing that love through acts of kindness toward others.

The Bible says:
"If a man says, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?" 1 John 4:20

Love is not proven by
words alone; it is demonstrated through sacrifice, compassion, and service. Christ came down to lift us up. We must be willing to do the same for others.

Think about it: The measure of your love for God is often revealed by how you treat the people He has placed around you.
