Sometimes, the story you immediately tell yourself about what’s happening is stealing your joy.

I used to think expecting the worst was preparation, but it was a warped sense of self protection from disappointment and conflict.

Eventually I realized I was also protecting myself from the possibility that something could actually go well.

If this resonates, this week I want you to pay attention to your lens.

This does NOT include forcing positivity or pretending everything is perfect.

Just giving myself permission to ask: “What if this goes right?”

There is power in saying “I AM.”

It’s different than “I hope” or “maybe one day.”

In spirituality and even in religion, what comes after “I AM” becomes your truth and if spoken enough can become your reality.

Choose ONE affirmation from this set that (((feels)))good to say or choose the one that makes you pause because you know you have some beliefs to work through.

Repeat it for the next 3 days.

In the morning, throughout the day and before bed.

Don’t force yourself to believe it immediately, just watch how natural it feels with repetition.

Practice hearing yourself say something new about who you are and what you’re available for.

Hey Butterfly!

Did you know, you can be incredibly good at earning and still struggle with receiving?

Earning gives you something to point to: I did X so I deserve Y and Z.

Receiving looks different. It’s someone helping you, a compliment, an offer to pay, recognition, etc.

And instead of simply saying, “Thank you,” you start explaining why you don’t really need it.

Minimizing a compliment, rejecting help, and talking yourself out of asking for more are clear signs.

You make yourself prove that you deserve what you already have permission to accept.

And THAT is the part I want you to notice.

Struggle is not designed to be the entry fee for every good thing that comes your way.

Butterfly, you can talk yourself out of more signs than the God, the universe, or source can send.

Maybe you’ve learned to question yourself because trusting yourself didn’t always lead to the outcome you wanted.

Because of this sometimes not knowing feels safer than knowing….

What if avoidance has become your way of protecting yourself from an answer you’re not prepared to deal with?

Unfortunately, avoiding what you know doesn’t make it disappear.

And being honest with yourself doesn’t mean you have to act today.

You can acknowledge what you’re feeling, gather information, and give yourself time to decide what comes next.

Self-trust isn’t about always getting it right. It’s about being willing to listen to yourself.

I have to rewind this part 10 times, because you can feel it. Want to know a secret, music is how I learned to read energy and receive messages. Yep!

A melody can relax you so easily that you allow yourself to let it flow.

This song in particular is a story of how she settled and built a man up, who was never worth her time. That was something she had to learn, and this particular part expresses the grief and relief in a way words can’t.

I felt it because I’ve lived that storyline in my own life once or twice.

A wedge don’t have to worry about me no more!
