Last night History was made at the 2026 #MetGala For the 1st time ever it was accessible to ALL. Seeing people who the world has deemed as “disabled”, but who I like to think are UNIQUELYABLE show up, and represent was something fiercely special. Since it was “Fashion Is Art” I found it inspiring, and got creative. @fentybeauty always helps me make great “art” on my face w/ their Ah-Mazing products. Shoutout to the fabulous @aarianaphilip also shut it down, making history as the 1st wheelchair user to attend! This one will have a special place in my heart forever. “Oh nothing” as they say… just putting in THE WORK for my #sicklecelldisease community. Yesterday was “Hill Day” for @sickcells where I spoke to members of Senate, and their representatives in PA about appropriations for Sickle Cell Disease for the Fiscal Yr27. I had two meetings w/ my team, but had 4 meetings where I was SOLO, but still held it down for the cause! One week ago I took alittle time to enjoy THE VIEW! Thank-you @1iota for having my Mother, and I back to enjoy the show. Your entire team was so gracious, and accommodating to me, and my “unique” needs. My Mom especially loved that we were able to be there for two tapings, so she got to see all the ladies. Watching them work(especially @sunny) who put in WORK that day from 4 different FABULOUS LEWKS, and multiple segments… she did that(and as I said looked GOODT while doing it!). Seeing them do what they do up close this time was awe inspiring to me.
