An artwork I did for @eastside.asia x @igcasia featuring the picturesque neighborhood of Joo Chiat through a map. I had so much fun scouting the area and ideating from my observations, so I’m sharing bits of my process here, as well as the finished piece at the end.

This collection of spot illustrations is the best way I know to capture the charming and endearing quirks of Albania, home to some of the most stunning feats of Nature, and people that always make one feel at home and loved even when they don’t speak the language.

Animated the frames that I did for the @ben_marriott_ Design Breakthrough class last year! Also thanks to @glenmiralles and @andrews.things for the amazing feedback which I included before I started animating.

The characters and plants are all vector drawn, rigged and animated using @mohoanimation which made the process so much more flexible and fun. Scroll through to see the individual character animation bits up close 🦧🦋🐆🌿🌳

Micro Christmas experiment: character design and animation in @mohoanimation , and made into an interactive piece with @rive.app

First time designing and animating (albeit a simple piece) in @mohoanimation and the textured brushes and rigging flexibility really shines, can’t wait to do more.

Styleframes for the Design Breakthrough course by the amazing @ben_marriott_

This is for an animated promo of a wildlife conservation series for kids, and what’s better to showcase than the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia(my part of the world) 😊🦧

Had so much fun working on this, learnt so much on communication and design and still so much more to learn. Thanks to all my friends who chimed in with feedback.

I also worked on a wildlife documentary in my previous life as a documentary producer, swipe to the end for some pics of orang utans :)

First assignment for @ben_marriott_ ‘s Design Breakthrough course! The task was to revise a styleframe from an previous project. Picked one from a documentary about drug policy, the original frame depicts the illegality of drug use.

The main point behind the revision is to communicate the feeling of condemnation and hopelessness that drug users experience under an imposing and unforgiving legal system. Check the original frame in the next slide!

Huge thanks to @glenmiralles for the amazing feedback(managed to incorporate some suggestions) and also to friends who helped pick out this composition in the thumbnail phase.

A compilation of some of my experiments in interactive design with @rive.app ☝️More simple and geometric than usual so that more energy can be channelled to drilling in the programming/ logic side of things.
