What a find!!! Still in complete shock 💛 by @dixiedigs

Introductory post for my new Instafriends! 👋

Hi! I'm Dixie (aka Beth)

You’ll often find me out in the fields with my trusty Minelab metal detector, happily hunting for lost history and tiny treasures buried beneath the surface. Some days I’m digging up old bottles, daydreaming about the stories they might hold. Other days I’m wandering along riverbanks or strolling the beach, letting the tides delight me with whatever curious bits of the past they’ve decided to return. Every outing feels like an adventure, full of surprises, little victories, and the simple joy of exploring the world around me with friends.

Over 4 years of searching for my first silver Roman coin, and then I find a second one just a few weeks later! Absolute madness! ❤️😍❤️

An epic day out detecting with @huskydetecting and @silverboydetecting. What a result!

That moment you realise the four-year wait is finally over! 😍❤️

From the very first day I picked up a metal detector, finding a silver Roman has been right at the top of my wish list. Four years later, and dreams really do come true! 🥹✨

Happy days! by @dixiedigs

You often hear detectorist say, "you just have to be lucky enough to walk over it". My good friend @huskydetecting just sent me this photo from last weekend... How lucky was I!?! In a field that huge to walk over the exact spot where a tiny ancient coin was waiting for me 🥰 Madness by @dixiedigs

Today I dug the most beautiful Roman fibula I have ever found 😍 I had only been in the field 10 minutes! I then spent 6 hours digging bits of lead but thats the way it goes sometimes 😂
Great day digging with my friends at Ninth Region - Can't wait to go back and explore the neighbouring fields!!
