Hello, mountaintop ravers! 🏔️✨🌲 Chief Stoke Officer here (aka @andystebbins). It’s the weekend after MTS 3.0, so we’ve been reminiscing over all the fun we had on the mountaintop with you last weekend. We turned a random mountaintop into a concentrated deposit of stoke full of smiles, dancing, epic views, new friends, incredible sound, controlled chaos, side quests, and friendly competition! This year’s MTS almost didn’t happen. On Thursday, we were genuinely afraid of the nearby wildfires/smoke shutting us down… we kept you all up to date in real time up until we got the final OK from the forest service. Speaking of which, before we thank anyone else, we need to acknowledge how incredible the US Forest Service has been through the permitting process for this! Not only did they allow us to do this, but they helped us do it in a way that left no trace and respected the beautiful mountaintop environment. MTS has been, and always will be, a place where you can arrive solo and leave with a dozen new friends. A place where you’ll experience fun that’s hard to describe to your coworkers when you get home. A place where the vibes support connection, endless fun, and uninhibited STOKE! It’s all because of its community: THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF IT! We improved a lot this year for the sake of the experience: From behind the scenes planning of a more robust camping/parking operations plan, to the brand-new, ultra-powerful sound from @rampartsoundsystem ; to the addition of a two-night model, camp games, and more. A quaint little tech rehearsal weekend 🏔️🌲🏕️🎶 Tests included: How loud are the subs? Answer: like a 6.7 on the Richter scale How do the new speakers sound? Answer: Heavenly Can we sync the new moving heads, lasers, lights, etc to the music? Answer: Yes, and it looks EPIC 😍 How many dudes does it take to carry each sub? Answer: Three to lift, one for emotional support. They are BIG! We tested out some other exiting new pieces of equipment— come to MTS 3.0 to see for yourself!! See you on the mountaintop 🏔️ (To clarify: MTS is in Washington, just over an hour east of Seattle. We’d like to stokedly encourage you to please purchase your tickets ASAP if you want to come to MTS this year— we lovingly put hundreds of hours of work and five figures of $ into this event, but we can’t front that bill very much. And there’s so much we need to reserve, hire, and purchase far in advance! Despite its small-festival vibe, MTS isn’t a pop up renegade: It’s a full-scale production with professional lights, lasers, sound, organization, and more. We are proud to share this unique event with our raving fans and newcomers alike! We run this event at cost— we don’t profit off it. Your ticket contribution is 110% used towards making this event EPIC! We say 110% because yes, we do use a little of our own cash to make it happen :) it is a labor of love, after all!
