POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Catching up with the homie @dj_deadphone 📞📲 DJ Deadphone (aka @thalamus__ ) is a talented selector, visual artist and producer who has made a name for himself in Detroit’s underground scene with a prolific run of releases and steady DJ gigs. He was one of the earliest supporters of BAD LISTENER and we’re so glad we were finally able to record a set from him at @cafe_sous_terre - look out for the full recoding on our YouTube channel later today! 💪

In this interview, DJ Deadphone talks about the origin of his DJ name, describes his daily routine and reminisces about underground parties at @the.yellow.wall back in the day 😤

IT ALL SOUNDS BAD! 👂

I’m taking over the decks, and the music is hand-selected—none of that generic auxiliary cord chaos. We’re talking a strictly curated taste in sound that’s 100% guaranteed to make your feet move, even if your legs are tired and your pride is hurt.

Taking over @lastchancedetroit
The spot is cozy—meaning yes, you will accidentally bump shoulders with somebody—but it’s tight in the best way, and you’re gonna wanna dance regardless.
The best part? It’s completely free. So you have literally zero excuses to be posted against the wall looking dead.
Pull up. Let’s make some space.

Just dropped a new visual on YouTube for my latest mix I recorded live at @midnightklubdet . The first ever car show to go down at the one and only @midnighttemple put together by @krislamarr. This mix was one that I curated to bring the midnight klub energy to the streets of eastern market! Go ahead and hit play and let the video do its thing.

Look here, man! When @dj_deadphone and @nickspeedent link up for MOTION at @low_keydetroit, it ain’t just a party—it’s a whole damn episode!

You walking through those doors and everybody lookin’ right. The drinks are heavy, the gorgeous women are out here shutting the whole floor down, and by 11 o’clock, somebody’s auntie done had three shots of tequila and is out-twerking everybody to a ghettotech track like her back don’t even exist!

📍 @low_keydetroit (1456 Woodward)
🗓️ Sept 26th | 10PM - 2AM
💸 FREE ENTRY

Don’t be sitting at home watching stories getting mad. Show up early or you gonna be standing outside on Woodward tryin’ to flirt with a parking meter! Let’s move! 🎛️🔥 taken in Detroit, Michigan by @dj_deadphone

Just dropped a new track today!

“Corned Beef Egg Roll”

Inspired by one of my favorite late night snacks
And the one and only @coneystarhalal for always having my back after DJ sets.

The world needs more dance music one track at a time!

Now on SoundCloud and YouTube, link in bio! taken in Detroit, Michigan by @dj_deadphone
