Last time I was in colourful Caminito was just for an hour during a hop on/hop off tour bus - and I really felt it deserved more attention

So last Sunday I spent all day there and - unbeknownst to me - I visited on a big match day with Boca Juniors playing their local rivals

It was a happy coincidence and really showed off this old school Buenos Aires neighborhood to its fullest

My first week in Buenos Aires was filled with a lot of working on my laptop - but when I finally got to see some of the city I was a happy man

The location of the first Air BnB didn't work out (I'm glad it was just booked for 5 nights) - luckily I sussed a new one in the centre of it all in the beautiful neighborhood of Palermo Soho

Buenos Aires is a lot more expensive than I thought - but there's loads of upside too

It's Summer here, there's 14 hours of daylight (😍), proper sunshine and the temps are a nice 24 to 30 degrees Celsius

Oh and the people are really warm and friendly - they pride themselves on being the sophisticated city of South America, and that comes through in their personalities as well

Buenos Aires, you're more than enough for a Christmas and NYE stay (and probably beyond too) ❤️

I usually only post travel and DJ content on here, but today marks the 70th birthday of the glue of our family

She is a genuine real world super hero 💪

And has always been in my corner, cheering me on in whatever I've done

Bit late with posting this, but it was great to do another gig in Buenos Aires a couple of weeks ago

For this set I played a few classics and a few more recent ones, with the idea being the tunes would be a nod to Irish anthems - but ones I knew the Buenos Aires locals would love too

So stuff like:

Happy Christmas from Buenos Aires - I hope you'd a good one

This week marks one year of being in this fantastic city - a place I thought I'd stay 2 months max in before trying another Latin American city

But my thinking is .... if you really like a place, why keep bouncing around? 😉

A lil' look back to November 19th, 2019

I've done a "10km In One Day" in 15 countries so far - but this one along Sydney's beaches is my fav to date

If you only ever do one thing in Sydney - make it the Bondi to Coogee Coastwalk by @dj_jasondee

I'm lucky to have a DJ career going back to when I was 15 years old (and a couple of years before that as a DJ helper)

And although there's been some pauses along the way - including long term solo travel, surgery and a pandemic - it's still something I love to do

When I started DJing as a kid it was for the love of music and making people dance

Thankfully, all these years later, both of these passions are still with me

Whether it's playing to a thousand people on a Dubai beach like I have in the past .... or to a few people at a cafe rave in Buenos Aires ..... I will always give a gig a thousand percent

It's what this amazing profession deserves

Pic 1 - DJing last night at Tuo Tempo cafe for Miraconamor in Buenos Aires (my 6th country to DJ in)

Pic 2 - Where it all began - terrible shirts, early Rave and Dunard Disco

Pic 3 - Me and Da - my first DJ roadie. I've had some lovely dreams about him since he passed last January ....... and in around 70% of them he's standing beside me in a DJ box

I think there's something to that

When you Google "Things To Do In Buenos Aires" - the neighborhood of Chinatown in Belgrano is rarely seen

But I think it's a bit of a hidden gem with beautiful murals, life sized robots, tributes to Bruce Lee, Maradona, great food and more

If you're ever in BA looking for something different, give it a gander taken in Barrio Chino 唐人街 , Buenos aires, Argentina by @dj_jasondee

I'm 7 months in Buenos Aires today - after initially only planning to stay here 6 weeks
