ARTIST SPOTLIGHT

DJ Lux brings much needed tboy to the dancefloor. With roots deeply embedded in the local music scene, Lux blends an eclectic mix of dancehall, booty bass, and balie.

They have curated spaces and large scale live events centering the queer community and spotlighting previously underrepresented voices in an industry so often dominated by the heteronormative and cis-male rhetoric. The love Lux has for the community continues to inspire them everyday.

This video work was made with with old school media. No filters were used post production, only in camera techniques and colourgrade.

intra_ is a part of @magg._z movement + creative direction series (!) - a series to embody the change we wish to see in the world

the prefix “intra-“ means “within,” “inside,” or “during” and indicates that something is occurring inside or contained within something else. intra_ calls for the divine feminine to channel the poeticism, softness and tenderness to cultivate their altar within.

Burning Rubber (2026) is a f**k you to the man and a radical display of queerness. The series, its name nodding to the colloquial term for condom, is an unapologetic explosion of heat and passion without the patriarchal sexualisation of our bodies, ‘burning’ the rubber and taking back our narrative.

At first glance, the leather-clad dykes, oiled up and alluring, appear consumed by passion and nothing more. However, upon further inspection, we see the softness and intimacy of the lovers giggling between kisses, their warmth shared between an open palm and cheek. You can see their comfort in found softness amongst the hard lines of metal and rubber. This is further highlighted through its juxtaposition to the motorbike rider and bike itself, sitting staunchly in the cavernous industrial environment.

All crew on set are friends of mine and it felt important to show the daringness of our shared queerness through overt tongue and cheek sexuality but also to highlight the ways in which we lift each other up through tenderness and comfort.
