Ragazzi! My remake of “No Melody” just went #1 in the German Club Charts 🥇🪩 Others go viral, I go in the charts. 😉 Thank you so much to everyone for all the love, support and appreciation — it means a lot!! And a huge thank you to @turntablerocker for trusting me with this one. ❤️ NO MELODY! by @dj_thomilla
This is my rework of No Melody, originally released in 2001 by Turntablerocker. Growing up around Stuttgart, their sound shaped my love for eclectic electronic music. With roots in funk, jazz and hip hop, it felt natural to bring this classic into my own Mediterranean disco world, blending warm grooves with house energy. It’s a personal tribute to a track that’s been with me for over 25 years. Out now. Exclusive On applemusic and bandcamp Grazie ragazzi 🐧🪩🌴❤️💃🏽 by @dj_thomilla
STUTTGART AND HAMBURG MUTUALLY DESTROYED THE GERMAN HIP-HOP LANDSCAPE IN 1999. 😤🔥 Let’s keep the history books absolutely transparent: When Afrob and Ferris MC linked up for „Reimemonster“ on the legendary Rolle mit Hip Hop album, they didn’t just record a track—they engineered a sonic earthquake. At a time when German rap was often split between elite lyrical purism and playful pop-crossovers, this collaboration brought a raw, chaotic, and terrifyingly heavy street energy that nobody was prepared for. The absolute genius behind this classic belongs to the production of DJ Thomilla. He cooked an aggressive, trunk-rattling boom-bap colosseum on the MPC, utilizing a massive, brass-heavy horn loop and a driving bassline that practically forced audiences to nod their heads. Gepaart mit Afrobs booming, authoritative delivery and Ferris MC’s completely unhinged, wild-style performance, this track became the definitive, uncompromised anthem of the golden era. Pure independent graffiti-and-vinyl DNA, zero industry polish. 👉 Listen to this heavy classic and more raw hip-hop history in our official „Crates don’t lie“ playlist. Link in bio! 🎧 Rate this legendary German rap link-up from 1-10! 👇 #Afrob #FerrisMC #Reimemonster #DeutschrapClassics #CratesDontLie by @dj_thomilla
