The fact that there are almost 43,000 Nigerians working within the UK's National Health Service shows the quality of medical professionals that Nigeria produces.

Now, let's reposition healthcare as a national priority. Improving healthcare in Nigeria is essential, and government must work hand in hand with the private sector to rebuild the system, retain our medical professionals, and ensure quality healthcare is accessible to every Nigerian.

This is the kind of conversation I expect to hear from those seeking public office—not just how they plan to win elections, but how they intend to solve the real challenges facing our country.

Fela Kuti’s music has travelled through generations, carrying stories, moments and memories with it. And just as music holds memories, so do the places and communities that have shaped us.

This Friday, join us in celebrating music and memory at The Africa Centre.

If you have Fela on vinyl, cassette or CD, bring it with you. We’ll put it on, listen together and share memories.

Narrated by Kole Odutola, Senior Lecturer at the University of Florida, where he teaches Yoruba language and cultures. He holds a PhD in Media Studies from Rutgers University.

Charly Boy’s 999 lands in London!

A memorable celebration of the Area Fada’s incredible journey, with former President Olusegun Obasanjo joining the occasion and Dr. Alban bringing some musical vibes.

From the bus stop banter to the red carpet and that power bike moment — London definitely felt the Area Fada energy!

🎥 My Tasty Naija caught the moments and the vibes.

A WORD OF CAUTION

“Mr A is sleeping with Mr B’s wife — allegedly.”
Adding the word “allegedly” does not automatically protect you from a potential defamation claim.

If you publish a damaging allegation about someone, you should have a proper factual basis for what you are reporting. And simply copying or repeating an allegation from another page or source does not necessarily absolve you of responsibility for republishing it.

If challenged, the fact that you wrote “allegedly” is not, by itself, a defence. In the UK, defamatory publications can potentially result in legal action and an award of damages where the legal requirements are met.

So, before publishing information that could seriously damage someone’s reputation, make sure you understand the implications.
“Allegedly” is not a magic word that gives you immunity from defamation law.

Post responsibly. Verify before you publish. by @djabass
