I was lucky enough to be invited back to play with @sobobeach legends @brandonblock and @dabigt at the biggest kick off to a summer season I’ve ever seen 💥💥💥 Bigup @alistair_dodger for getting involved, and @davidharris0364 for keeping the beats on the bongos - next time I’ll be in full fitness and have shaken off the chest infection I’ve had for weeks 😂👌🏻 it felt like a fever dream 🤪🤪

I was privileged to be invited to talk about music, creativity and neurodivergence with a line up of incredible music industry legends (sorry @djjjfrost I know you don’t like being called that 😂)

We shared personal stories, we talked about how the industry needs to change and what we can do to support the next generation.

Brilliantly hosted by the powerhouse that is @nutritious_minds, this is an episode not to miss.

Abi Joy Lemon returned to the decks after a 20 year hiatus to bring an infectious energy to her sets. Her sound echoes 90’s garage house, Italo house, deep US grooves and fronts deep, soulful and disco house. A mix of old and new- her sound pays homage to her heritage working at the Ministry of Sound in the 90’s.

With her versatile vibe and ability to read the crowd, she has soundtracked luxury events, parties and peak time festival sets.

She has appeared on lineups with names like Ricky Morrisson, Bobby & Steve, Brandon Block, Trevor Nelson, Seamus Haji, Fatboy Slim, Jimpster and more.

Some of her notable recent appearances include the O2 Academy, @wildernesshq , Christchurch Music Festival and @theforwardmotion in Malta.

Alongside showcasing her expansive library of Soulful and Deep house on YouTube and through live radio, she has fundraised for ‘Last Night a DJ Saved My Life’ for their ‘Have a Drink On Us’ campaign alongside other causes. She has also made appearences on the @bbc6music , @yesmagazinepk , @happiful_magazine and more.

Contact The Mr Ben Agency by emailing info@mrbenagency.com to book Abi Joy Lemon and bring her energy to your next event.

I think me and dub versions are in a full time relationship now - always love a funky, deeper dub of the classics we know.

A while ago, I got some exciting news that I haven’t really shared yet.

A few months ago, I was wondering whether I’d ever make it to @amsterdamdanceevent , whether I could afford to go, would it be worth it - in a late night scrolling session, the ADE artist development programme popped up, Lab On Track. It’s 3 days of intensive learning, networking and community for selected emerging performing artists and producers, designed to springboard your career to the next level.

It’s also application only.

The old me would have had imposter syndrome raging wildly and wouldn’t have bothered, but the new older me though “fuck it” let’s give it a go.

I’m not good at all the why me, why now type essay questions, but I wrote some stuff and sent it off.

And lo and behold, the email came through a few weeks ago saying I had been selected for a place.

It’s three full days which will keep me out of trouble in the Dam (what could go wrong), plus I get to see friends old and new and party every evening for 5 days (again, what could go wrong 😂).

Excited is an understatement, and more than makes up for not being included in @djmagofficial ‘s top 100 this year.

I’m not playing anywhere (yet) but thought I’d share a picture that made it look like I was 🤪😂

Will I see you there? 🙏🏻

Can you tell how much fun I had playing @theforwardmotion this weekend in Malta?

The line up was incredible all weekend, and Sunday I was blown away to be playing the same stage as @saintlukez, @elliecocks92, @jade.edwardsdj, @djneilpierce and @jimpster_gram.

Back to Earth either a bang today - thank you so much @kai_forwardmotion and the team, what a special event this was.
