What began as experiments with Jamaican dub pioneers like King Tubby and Lee β€œScratch” Perry; mixing riddims on a dubplate and restructuring how music could be produced, they influenced electronic sounds across generations. And now, that evolution continues pon the dancefloor. Meet Black Elektronika, aka Sunny; Lagos born and Milan raised producer, DJ, sound engineer and composer whose sonic language draws from a world of influences; from Fela Kuti, William Onyeabor and Depeche Mode. Moving between Berlin and Vilnius, he brings an experimental approach to sound that goes beyond the club scene. On November 19, we're aligning these frequencies, where different sounds and shared roots reconnect on the dancefloor!! πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’ƒπŸ½ Come feel the good vibes and energy in real time. Get your early access ticket(s) through the link in our bio/story. Before the dance, the basslines and the sound systems, there was a story. 😊 From ska to rocksteady and reggae to dancehall, every sound carries a memory of Jamaican history; from stories of identity, resistance, spirituality and lifestyle. Joining us on this cultural frequency on November 19 is Oge Kimono; a reggae musician, cultural ambassador, sound system enthusiast and daughter of Reggae icon Ras Kimono. As host and co-founder of Dub & Riddim, she celebrates the roots and consciousness of reggae by creating spaces where music authentically connects people together. At @dubnriddim, we honour these roots through our monthly gatherings by keeping the frequency of consciousness alive for the next generation. Get your dancing shoes ready because we're lighting up the dancefloor this November! πŸ˜ŠπŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ’₯ Get your early access tickets through the link in our bio/story.
