I wasn’t a fan of this landmine frontal plane/lateral lunge/split squat at first but it’s starting to grow on me. Two little quick variations with a mix of some loaded movement/contract- relax stuff. Helping that rhythm, coordination, first step (acceleration) and deceleration. Remember there is always a time and a place for everything you do 😏.

This has been a very good summer!

Several months ago, I jotted down a list of skills I aimed to improve, with one of them being Olympic lifting. I reached out to @sarahliftwright and she taught me the basics of Olympic lifting from April-May 💙. Once I gained the knowledge, I grabbed hold of it and moved forward at full speed!

There’s still work that needs to be done, but these total body movements are indeed incredibly amazing! This type of lifting is a great way to increase your power, speed, explosiveness and strength. Concentric explosive strength and Eccentric breaking force are big factors in these lifts. Which are some of the main things needed in athletic performance!
1) Hang Power Clean
