What an amazing send off show! Really big shoutout to Shane @deadmagicband and Tom @the_decliners for joining me for my last show in the @xrayfm studio 🙌🌟 I had such a blast, thank you so much for bringing in some really cool tunes from the Portland archives See the bands you heard from the show at the upcoming Decliners 20th Anniversary Bender, four days of free music to celebrate Portlands rich music history! An incredible lineup, over 40 bands, Nov 6-9th, at @stardaytavern 21+ Miss the show? Or any past interviews? You can listen to them back on the xray.fm archive! Even though I am retiring, these amazing chats will continue to exist for a while, and I am again incredibly thankful for this opportunity and experience radio DJing over the years. Seriously want to thanks folks for listening and supporting over the years, everyone’s kindness has been very impactful. As a reminder, xray is currently in our Fall Fund Drive and if you loved this show or want to support local radio, now is the time! Go to xray.fm/donate to become a member or grab some merch 💕 🩷💚🩷 DJ Barbarella taken in Portland, Oregon by @djbarbarella_pdx

Big announcement! It’s with a little sadness I am announcing the retirement of my radio show coming this next week 💔 I apologize for not giving folks more heads up as to my decision, I wish I could host you all forever on my show! SO many thank you’s to everyone who’s reached out over the years, shared your music with me, come on the show, thought of me when you released tunes…. It really has meant the world to me to support the music community in the ways I can and be included in this amazing flourishing community. The last year or so my personal life/career has shifted where I don’t have the same time/energy to give to this, and I feel it’s time for me to step aside for the next DJ who can give it all the love! Almost 7 years between @freeformpdx and @xrayfm and a little @pdxradioproject 😘 I cannot express how thankful I am to this community! Thank you thank you thank you! Forever grateful for my experiences, all the music I’ve learned, and the friends I’ve made! What does this mean for the future? Well tune in next week Tues for the last show, featuring @deadmagicband !! And keep up to date with me on my tattoo/art page @hbarbarella.art I’ll keep folks updated if I should return to radio, however I highly encourage folks to still reach out to xray and Freeform to submit your music to other DJs! Thanks for reading! And thank you all again for all the love over the years, it’s been an honor. I’ll see ya around at shows, don’t be afraid to say HI! 💚💚💚💚 taken in Portland, Oregon by @djbarbarella_pdx
