![Cohere Music, founded by Juan Baiz and brought to life with Joshua Holland, emerges as a vital platform in the wake of Sankeys’ closure. It’s more than just an event; it’s a movement dedicated to unveiling fresh talent and fostering unity through the universal language of music.
Juan (aka Base E) first fell in love with Ibiza in 2006, and by 2014, he had made it his home, commuting between London and Brighton. As he supported powerhouse acts like Damian Lazarus, The Martinez Brothers, and Seth Troxler from 2012 to 2014, Juan’s profound connection to the island’s music scene deepened. His signature mixes, like the CMM-008, are a testament to his refined taste—textured grooves and minimal house beats that captivate and energize.
From an early fascination with the sounds of the Essential Mix to becoming one of Ibiza’s most respected local DJs, Joshua’s musical journey is a testament to his deep-rooted passion for electronic music. Carving out a niche with his impeccable taste and innovative sets. He has regular appearances at leading venues such as Akasha, Nui, Pikes, and Ibiza Global Radio alongside his residency with Game Over. His sound, a sophisticated blend of deep, groove-laden minimal house, infused with elements of garage and breakbeat, is exemplified in his CMM-009 mix. Together, Juan and Joshua aim to spotlight the underrepresented and the innovative, creating a space where new sounds thrive and connections are made.
Cohere Music is not just about listening to music; it’s about experiencing it, feeling it, and being part of something transformative.
