There are moments on a wedding day that simply can’t be planned.

This was one of them.

After their private reveal of the reception space, before a single guest walked into the room, they took it all in... every candle, every floral arrangement, every table, every detail. Then they turned to all of us—the venue team, planners, photographers, stylists, and me—and shared what they were feeling.

No script.

No prompting.

Just genuine emotion.

That’s what happens when an incredible team of wedding professionals comes together with one goal: creating an unforgettable experience for two people in love.

I’m grateful every time I get to work alongside talented vendors who pour their hearts into what they do. None of us could create a day like this alone, but together, we can create something our couples will remember for the rest of their lives.

This was the kind of wedding where I got in the car to drive home soaking wet but with a huge smile on my face and said wow those two are SO in love. What an honor to capture this magic. Did it rain? Yes. Quite a lot actually. And it made for perfect light and wet clothes and happy tears and one heck of an outside dance party.

There’s something pretty satisfying about watching an empty space turn into a full DJ setup, especially knowing what this setup is going to look like a few hours later with a packed dance floor in front of it.

A lot of cables, a lot of equipment and a lot of setup goes into making the final result look this clean.

“He has no $@%! business being this good!” 😂

Possibly one of the funniest (and most aggressively enthusiastic) end-of-the-night testimonials I’ve ever had someone run up and deliver.

And somehow, it was a pretty perfect way to sum up Anya & Gabby’s wedding at Windham Manor.

What followed was another absolutely wild Catskills wedding night: a packed dance floor, huge energy, unforgettable moments, and the kind of celebration where everyone was completely committed to having the time of their lives.

Windham Manor is also such a special place to work. Owners Barry & Susan bring an incredible level of passion and personal investment to what they’ve built. They’re present, hands-on, available, and still involved deep into the night; something you rarely see from the owners of a venue at this level. Their care for their couples, their property, and the entire experience shows in everything they do.

Amazing planning as always with @wildbloomsbridal. A-Team vibes with you guys!! You rock!!

Anya & Gabby, thank you for trusting me with such an important part of your day. I’m incredibly grateful I got to be there for it, and for all the memories you gave me right along with everyone else.

A packed dance floor. Multiple generations losing their minds together. Huge sing-along moments, nonstop energy, and a party that nobody wants to end… In this case, 5½ hours deep into the night.

But nights like this DON’T happen by accident.

⚡️ THE ENTIRE VENUE LOST POWER. THE WEDDING DIDN’T. ⚡️

A massive rainstorm knocked out power as dinner ended and the dance party was about to begin.

Battery-powered speakers. Battery-powered lights. One Jackery. A laptop. A DJ controller. Let’s go. 🔋🎧

Within minutes, we had the dance floor moving — and kept it going for 45+ minutes with ZERO venue power.

Then the electricity came roaring back, the big PA and subs fired up, the lights came alive…and we never looked back. 🔥

Sometimes the job isn’t just playing the right music. It’s finding a way to make sure the party never stops.

❤️😭 You can plan every detail. You can build the timeline, choose an incredible venue, assemble an amazing vendor team, obsess over the flowers, the food, the atmosphere, the music…

…and somehow none of it prepares you for what it actually feels like when it all comes alive. ⚡️

Sean & Sophie said something after their wedding that stuck with me: when every person you trusted to create the day absolutely delivers, there’s this moment when you realize you’re standing in the middle of something even more beautiful than you imagined.

And then, eventually… you absolutely lose your minds on the dance floor. 🔥🔥🔥

These two were incredible clients: Thoughtful, enthusiastic, hilarious, and completely present for all of it. From music carrying across the property throughout the day to a dance floor that looked and felt like THIS, getting to help build the soundtrack to their wedding was an absolute joy.

And @hannahlux.photography caught the electricity perfectly. 📸⚡️

Beautiful CHAOS—in the BEST possible way. 🔥🔥

Elie & Erica’s dance floor stayed packed for roughly five and a half hours. People were jumping from every direction, singing at the top of their lungs, and completely losing themselves in the music. There were even about 5 different crowd-surfing moments throughout the night—which not too often happens at a wedding, but somehow just kept happening here.

It was WILD, JOYFUL, RELENTLESS, and one of those receptions where the energy simply never dropped.

And it all happened at one of my absolute favorite Catskills wedding venues, Seven Ponds Farm. ❤️ I’ve worked there for years and through dozens of events, and I continue to love the property, the staff, the food, and the experience every single time. Thank you, Morton, Min, Shelley, Riley, and the rest of the Seven Ponds / Blenheim Hill TEAM!!!

What you don’t always see is everything that makes those moments possible.

The coordination with planners, venues, photographers, videographers, families, and everyone working together behind the scenes.

My job isn’t just to play music. It’s to understand the feeling you want your wedding to have—and help shape that experience from the moment your first guests arrive until the final song.

The best weddings feel effortless because the details are being handled quietly, thoughtfully, and with genuine care.

Years from now, you may not remember every song I played.
