HxdB and Patrik Cure brought their love of club music to PPLINDHAUZ, and it shows. For their second EP on Defrostatica, the Vancouver bass duo slowed the tempo which only gave their kicks more room to rattle. And why shouldn’t they? True DJs and dancers can handle all BPMs. So Greazus gave them what they need with these four tracks allowing the drum essentials to take over the mind and release a bubbling cocktail of happy hormones. PPLINDHAUZ is a celebration of North American dance genres, as seen in the Bootee Freaka track that they did with Sinistarr. It’s for the people raving in the moment, mad crowd scenes with their hands in the air and dancers on speakers. Just like photographer Mark McNulty captured it in his clubland series.

As a producer and label boss, he talks about his white label strategy, why the head is still a musician's best instrument, and how much the early Reinforced sound influenced him. @subfmradio show incoming. It’s episode #213 and this Thursday I’ll have my good friends Tina & @djbooga on the show, celebrating 10 years of their label @defrostatica .  Since 2015 the Leipzig based label is pushing all kinds of Footwork, Jungle and Drum & Bass rooted hybrid sounds. Their back catalogue is huge and features artists like Jon1st, Arcane, La Dame, Sinistarr, Acid Lab, DJ Strawberry, Philo & dreadmaul, Uneven, Slowrolla and many more. For those who are not familiar with the label I can highly recommend their latest 10 years compilations as they provide a fantastic overview. Vol 1 & Vol 2 are already out - check them on Bandcamp or @junodownload. I’m super happy to be part of their journey, not only as an artist but also doing some A&R work for them. Hey, endlich Herbst, endlich wieder Beep Street im Sowiewir! Zum Auftakt teilen sich mit Booga und Malcolm zwei in Leipzig langjährig aktive DJs die Plattenteller, die in den letzten Jahrzehnten wahrscheinlich schon in so ziemlich jeder Location der Stadt aufgelegt haben. Booga feiert dieses Jahr das zehnjährige Bestehen seines Labels Defrostatica, hat aber auch unzählige Veranstaltungen organisiert und viel in Leipzig im Drum & Bass bewegt. Malcolm wiederum ist für seine riesige Plattensammlung und für sein messerscharfes Mixing berüchtigt, darüber hinaus bei Radio Blau sowie bei den DJ- und Veranstaltungscrews Downtown Lyrics und Ulan Bator aktiv.
