I know today isn’t easy…..

@djchito520 Ramon Ruiz, your mom raised an amazing man, and I’m grateful every day for the love you share with all of us. I’m thinking of her, and especially of you, today.

As I think about her, there are so many little things I miss…

Her walking into the house saying, “It’s your monster-in-law!”

“Do you want some wah-wah?” as she looked at me while serving you water.

“My son is an angel… he would never…”

The love she showed our children.

The trays of snacks she always had ready as soon as they arrived.

The chocolate milk she always made sure Izick had.

The special love she had for DeShay and watching the two of them dance together.

How proud she was that Korina could wash and brush her own hair at such a young age.

Watching her bake with the kids.

How proud she was of you and all of her grandchildren.

I loved how, when she felt strongly about something, she would never back down. She made sure her opinion was heard!

And I’ll always remember how special she made me feel when we would drive to Eloy to see her and Nana, and she would make flautas and guacamole for me.

More than anything, I miss the way she loved all of us.

She is missed so much, and I know she would be incredibly proud of the husband and father you are today. I know she would be looking at you, the kids, and everything you’ve built together with so much pride.

Happy heavenly birthday Grandma. I truly believe without your prayers I would not be here or the person I am today. You always guided us in faith and love. Your grace and compassion was unmatched. I will never forget the story you told me of the time they picked you up at 7 years old from the fields you and your mother where working barefooted and dirty to go to school against your will. You said the kids laughed at you. That was the one and only day you went to school. You taught yourself how to read and write. You raised a beautiful family. We will try our hardest to keep your legacy alive ! by @djchito520
