New guest mix is up! This one comes from a key contributor to the Richmond music community & beyond- Robert August fka DJ Devolved. Owner of Vinyl Conflict Records. With a deep history Punk rock, Hardcore and Heavy Metal record collecting, the affinity for dance singles came quickly. Specializing in Italo, HiNRG, New Wave, Disco but never passing on something due to its genre, Robert blends to keep the energy moving on the floor. With a special opportunity to connect frequently with DJ’s of the Mid atlantic, learning about Scenes, Labels, Clubs and such is a passion. Always looking to learn more. This Friday, Rose’s invites @vinylconflict head @djdevolved into the booth for late night 🔉

While his iconic Richmond record store has roots in punk and hardcore, DJ Devolved’s sets are known for a signature blend of Italo Disco, New Wave, Electro, and house.

I turned 40 over the weekend and snuck off to Switzerland, don’t worry you still owe me a beer. It was great to reconnect with my family in Neuchâtel I haven’t seen since I was just a small child and of course all the dear friends we have in Zurich! Of course I had to do some record shopping as well as begin my final boss journey off collecting original Swiss punk records which seem to be only in Switzerland. All in all, 40 ain’t bad ✌️ Happy Taurus season yall by @djdevolved

Two weeks, 5 cities, averaging 8-10 miles a day of walking, NO BACK PROBLEMS. Utilized handcarts to give my injury a rest and it was super incredible how much of a difference it made. We got to visit with a few friends but really focused on work this trip, which was exhausting and probably not gonna go this hard again for a while. I’m really proud of what me and Melissa were able to accomplish, it’s kinda insane. But it’s absolutely time to come home and get some rest. It’s awesome what you can accomplish with intention and focus. by @djdevolved
