When I was coming up in the game, I often made decisions based on the approval of others.

But seeking that external validation often came at the cost of my own enjoyment.

I’m grateful I’m now in a position to make decisions and moves based on the direction I want to go and what I genuinely enjoy — without bowing to the pressures of hometown validation or imaginary industry politics.

Of course, work hard, stay consistent and play the game — but don’t forget to have fun and enjoy the journey along the way!
