Celebrating food, family, and community with Cooking con Omi at FIT!

The energy at the book talk was amazing—such a strong, passionate crowd. Big thanks to Elena Romero for a fantastic interview, and to everyone who came, posed with their books, and shared in the moment.

Took a quick train ride up to 42nd Street to see the Maximo Colon "Festejo" exhibit.

The exhibition features Colón's historical black-and-white analog photographs captured between the 1970s and the early 2000s. The collection highlights a joyous exploration of Puerto Rican and Latinx culture, documenting how New Yorkers transform public spaces into vibrant avenues of expression through community gatherings, music, dance, and parades.

Love, Love, Love it! 🔥🔥🔥

No es amor
Lo que tú sientes
se llama obsesión
Una ilusión
En tu pensamiento
Que te hace hacer cosas
Así funciona el corazón...

A beautiful night of rhythm, movement, and community at the Pilón & Clave Workshop!

Huge thanks to the New York Latino Collective ( NY LC ) and the Staten Island Urban Center for bringing everyone together.
We had a fantastic evening diving deep into the culture:

Salsa Basics: Our first instructor had everyone up and moving, breaking down fundamental salsa steps on the dance floor!

Afro-Caribbean Roots & Bomba: A special shutout to our second instructor, who led an incredible Bomba session. She gave us a powerful, enlightening look into the deep African roots of the dance and tradition—such an amazing learning experience! I didn't want it to end. 🪘

Food & Vibes: Between the live rhythms spun by DJ Ravage Will and the connection over food and culture, the energy in the room was wonderful.

Check out a few moments I captured from the night! 📸👇

A decade of showing up for our youth and the Lower East Side community.

Hundreds of bookbags loaded for the new school year, fresh cuts, non-stop energy, and special guest @kathyhochul supporting the block.

This is what community looks like. 🗽📸

This was our first time seeing Judy sing live... what a pleasurable experience. Her voice - the tone, strength and range - grab you first, then her stage presence and the energy of her supporting singers make it feel more like a show than just a few singers on the stage.

Here she covers some well known songs and slays each track! Sigue Pa'lante! 🔥🔥💪🏼💪🏼👏🏼👏🏼🧡🧡
