After over 10 years of hard work and dedication, I am blessed beyond words to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor!!!

I would first and foremost like to thank everyone who has supported me on my golf journey, specifically my family and coaches. Their unwavering support is the reason why I have been graced with the opportunity to compete at such a high level. Secondly, I want to thank Coach Ralston and Coach Jack for being with me every step of the way, and embracing me with open arms to becoming a Crusader. I am ecstatic to see what experiences I am fortunate to have over these next several years at UMHB, and am eager to represent in purple and gold! GO CRU!!! 💟💛💟 by @djdriver2027

Second TJGT podium made of the summer! These past few days were brutally hot and windy, but after many bottles of sunscreen later, I managed to come out with a solo 3rd place finish at the Landa Park Splash. After the endless hours spent improving my game and implementing some swing changes, I’m beyond grateful to see the scores following in suit! Day 1 was a consistent, steady round, whereas day 2 I relied heavily on my short game to be able to bring home some hardware. Thank you @txjrgolf for hosting this past week, and cheers to high school golf right around the corner!!

Summertime swings, but with a dash of thunderstorms! This week I competed in the TJGT San Antonio Summer Blast, and managed to finish solo 2nd in a stacked leaderboard. Unfortunately, round 2 was cancelled due to inclement weather and course flooding, and I wish I would’ve been able to carry the momentum I had on the first day into the final 18 in order to claim the winning title. Although I left a few shots out there, I’m overall very pleased with how my first summer tournament finished on a course that I hadn’t played before. Thank you so much to @txjrgolf for hosting, and I’m looking forward to what the rest of the season has in store!

What an incredible season for Delaney McGurren! ❤️⛳️🎉

For the second consecutive year, Delaney competed at the UIL State Golf Tournament. An accomplishment that reflects years of hard work, dedication, and commitment to her craft. Reaching this level of competition is no easy feat, and we could not be more proud of everything she accomplished this season.

Delaney continues to set the standard for our program both on and off the course. This year, she earned her third consecutive District Championship and once again proved herself as one of the top players in the state through her consistency, toughness, and competitive spirit.

Beyond her success in golf, Delaney has been an incredible leader for our team. As our captain, she has been the perfect role model for her teammates and younger players. She is driven, disciplined, organized, compassionate, and kind to everyone she meets. Delaney leads by example every single day. Always encouraging others, making everyone feel included, and helping create such a positive culture within our program.

Us coaches are proud of the growth we’ve seen from her as a golfer, student, leader, and young woman. The countless hours she has poured into this sport and this team do not go unnoticed, and her impact on our program reaches far beyond scores and tournaments.

Next year brings a new challenge as we transition into 6A competition, but we have no doubt Delaney is ready for it. Her determination, work ethic, and heart will continue to take her far, and we are so excited to see what her senior season holds.

So proud of you, Delaney. The future is incredibly bright!❤️🤍💙 taken in Legacy Hills Golf Club by @djdriver2027

What a sweet kickoff to the fall season at the TJGT Fredericksburg Fest and a T-5th finish! I played exceptionally well the first round, hitting nearly every fairway and the majority of the greens. The second round was composed of iron inconsistencies, but battling back and getting up and down when I needed to thanks to my wedge and putter. Overall, it was an amazing weekend and I could not have asked for better course conditions and playing partners. Thank you @ladybirdgolf and @txjrgolf for hosting, and low scores await!

And we’re back! After a long summer composed of swing changes, club changes, and mental grit, it’s amazing to say that I’m gearing up for Junior year golf in the right direction. This past weekend I competed in my first tournament back after nearly 2 months, and while I can’t say I’m 100% proud of how I finished, it was an enjoyable few days. The first day was full of nerves and excitement, and I played a great round of golf. The second day I wasn’t feeling the best physically in addition to some new challenging conditions (such as 20+ mph winds), but I was determined to stay positive mentally and not let it get to me. This was a learning experience for me by getting back out and doing what I love most, and this is just the beginning to an amazing high school season ahead. Thank you so much @stpgajuniorgolf and @surfandturfclub for being a part of this wonderful end to my summer season!
