Dub Im cutting over = “Parasol by SØL” . I love the sound that SØL brings to deep dub, unique synth leads, gorgeous amount of detailed dubbing constantly evolving on the perc and lots of space for heavy sub movement. His Amanita tune is simply beautiful, 100% one of those producers who goes the extra mile on the detail. . I ripped the vox from two old reggae records…. . Intro/outro = “Come Together by Freddie McKay & Trinity” . Main verse = “The Killer by Big Youth” . Both of these tunes suffered the old school stereo technique of vox panned hard to one side with instruments to other = super useful for DIY acapella’s :). .This simple lil routine came about from a desperate desire to feature one of my favourite EP’s I picked up last year into a tablist set, SØL FUNGI EP from the dope AF Bristol based label @kaarbanik sound. .. limited to 30 copies the Fungi EP is currently/if your lucky available to buy on 10” dubplate from the Kaarbanik Sound Bigcartel store… or you can head to their Bandcamp for digi’s and peep their tasty deep dub discography. . . . We did it!! Quiche Gang opened Sub-Lab at @boomtownfairofficial on Sunday. An actual dream come true for us 🥧Big love and massive respect to @firmlyrootedsound and @sub_lab_uk for bringing us through and giving us the chance. Sub-Lab’s been our favourite spot at Boomtown since it opened and to see it progress over the years has been beautiful, so to be on that stage?
