Day 946 of me trying to learn how to beat juggle. 10 to 20 mins a day getting reps in before work is always good for my soul. It’s not clean or perfect. But it’s progress. It helps make my adhd brain work better through out the day. This is my fidget spinner. 😆

I feel ready to learn a new pattern. These DJs out now adays be on some next level ish. But if I wanna get there I gotta work on fundamentals.

If you ever get bored with djing because all you do is mix everyday. Try the hiphop stuff like skratching, beat juggling, or make a beat. Seeing the talent out now makes me want to get better but in my own way. No matter where you’re at in your journey there’s always something new to learn. by @djekspoe

So this was my first music festival in a long time. Danced a lil..Overall a fun experience hearing DJs I’m a fan of get down, but the parts I didn’t enjoy was that I was constantly bumped into hella times by the same different people.

The most annoying was the chain link of people holding hands walking. You had to wait for them like they were a human centipede. I was about to just grab someone’s hand at the end of it and just grab on 🤣 and see where it took me but the bass vibration if I went deeper would’ve messed up my equilibrium. The second most annoying was the dude bumpin goin through everyone like “excuse me I gotta get to my gf” by the 4th bump I was pissed and yelled you lyin! 😂 my back was hurting. I picked the wrong shoes to wear too. But it’s cool sometimes you gotta check out what’s going on outside your area to get inspired.

This weekend you can find me all over Stockton and the Bay Area!!
Friday night come check out the Style Elements 32 year anniversary! I have always been a fan of breaking growing up and to be able to break bread and talk to these dudes who I consider heroes of hiphop has been awesome! Who knows you might see me get down in the cypher tonight lol ! Come out and check out the best breakers in the world this weekend!

Saturday I will be making my way to Oakland 1st to celebrate the birthday of the great one @lumpiachef! I’m even doing a back to back set with one of my mentors that helped shape my dj style @rayzaruckus. Lots of dope djs pulling up for this one! We are gonna rock it the same way how we used to do it for UHYPE in the early 00s.

Saturday night I’m back in Lodi at Ollie’s and rockin with my bro since day uno @alskee as we party in the park playing everything under the stars!

Then on Sunday I’ll be a fan watching Kaytranada in San Jose! Come say wussup! I know I’m going to be seeing a lot of familiar faces as I make my rounds so let’s catch up!

I was asked by one of my @stocktondjacademy students earlier this week. What’s my WHY? or reason why I’m still djing. TBH I’ve been at this for years and Ive been around the OGs and here’s one thing that I learned and know to be true. For the creativity of hiphop to continue, we have to teach the youth the same way there are athletic coaches and instrument instructors. Hiphop elements like djing, graffiti, MCing, and breaking should definitely be in today’s art class.

Share this with your teachers, principals, super intendents, and folks in the education industry. We make hiphop educational and fun.

Think about it. Something that is beyond music that is an everyday part of our lives. Math and measurements as well as confidence and community involvement. Look how excited the class was to see one of their own make a beat in person! This was off a 45 min assembly at a local school in town. Look at the impact! This is proof you can use an outlet like hiphop at schools in a positive way to inspire children! @rhymosaurs is doing something for the community that no one else is doing. While everyone complains online about kids not having anything to do. I promise you Stockton can be the perfect place to prove adding hiphop to the teaching curriculum will change lives. by @djekspoe

This wedding was so much fun from the beginning to the end!! It’s always a good time!

I also had my adobro MC @zepstergram with me rocking the crowd and killin it! The entrances were lit (literally)! I love it when the sing alongs at dinner are just as lit as the dancing part itself.

The staff and the venue @wedgewood.winchestervista were awesome and the food was hella good too! Beautiful views! Man I love djing weddings. Always a good time! Thank you to Brandon and Ellie for booking us!

Vegas is fun when you get to hang with the Bay Area/stockton Vegas locals @illestkayone @barryflo & @kat_cbb and they show us a good time! We first ate at crab and spice in Chinatown . My rec get the ayce + snow crab.

Then it was off to see @djbstang and @djdblplay at we all scream. We are always thankful for the hospitality that we get when we are in town! Go visit them if you’re hanging out in downtown! We also got to see the birthday girl @givemefries12. It’s always great seeing everyone!

We did end up at pho Kim long but me no photos were taken 🤣

Then Sunday @ms_ava007.5 wanted to do some walking so we walked all the way from Mandalay Bay to Bellagio. (Take the trams) for an easier walk.

Then we headed to the vinyl room for an amazing night of 90s R&B and dancehall. The food was good. The hamachi Poke Nachos was 🔥! All my hiphop heads between best friend, off the record and now the vinyl room. You can have a really dope Vegas weekend.

This is a continuation from the photos I posted the other day. She finally saw the photos 🤦🏽‍♂️. Our 5 year anniversary date started with @xpotlv we chose the creamy lobster broth and the tom yum. Both were 🔥. Between the lobster, oysters, crab legs and wagyu. I think we got our moneys worth. And their bathrooms are clean af so make sure you go before you leave the restaurant otherwise you’re gonna walk around the strip clinching.

Then our friends took us to the sphere and we saw the @backstreetboys. This is definitely the best venue for a show. They played all their bangers and some. Great day in Vegas with my love @ms_ava007.5 taken in Las Vegas, Nevada by @djekspoe

5 years ago.. A whole lot has changed since then. We have changed, but we are still here still thriving! God blessed us with a beautiful life. And I’m grateful I have my wife, our boys, our families, and our friends to share it with. Happy anniversary @ms_ava007.5. Here’s a trip down memory lane to the best day ever!
