Last month after a proper stint in the woods at Camp Kennybrook and a visit with my family in Cooperstown, I drove to Buffalo to help @ktronandfriends put on their @buffalounderground.dance stage at @musicisartbflo. A delightful gathering of expression, enjoyment, and goofery was had. Special thanks also to @eerie_official for having us at @thegypsyparlor , and to @_lorenzob for joining along and enriching every step of the ride. What a time!

It is truly a blessing to live life expressively, and to create spaces for enjoyment with loved ones and strangers alike. Here’s to continuing forward with inspiration, spiritual integrity, and love. Keep on movin’ 💪🩷 taken in Buffalo, New York by @djem______

At L&SD in Greenpoint. An evening in 3 parts: group movement instruction, followed by a DJ set & deep listening:

7:30 doors
8:00 instruction with Clara Franklin @clarahopefranklin
8:30 dance set, into deep listening with BODY ART (Geo + Gem)

Clara is a brooklyn based freelance dance artist and bodyworker. their practice embodies rhythm, through pleasure and surrender to sound and intuition.

bringing their perspective: a ballet upbringing, a love for social dance, folk dance, and a desire to bring intentional movement into the lives of all people. together, tapping into a collective consciousness where we can bring a mindfulness to one’s own body sensations in order to discover a new realm experiences through existence.

BODY ART is the spiritual homunculus of Interpretive Sound & Djem aka Geo & Gem. Floating around the city, they’ve been bringing people together through music, space, fabrics, movement & full sensory feng shui. Whether it’s azz2azz in the booth 🎛 or transforming a room with endless layers hanging from the ceiling 🪡🕯🫧, they know how to shift the atmosphere into something alive. by @djem______

Hi hello it's us. We still exist. Been keeping things real low-key lately to maintain longevity and vibes. Things are less chaotic than ever, which if you know the lore.. you understand the come up. We are just happy to have music, community, and each other.

We haven't been DJing out as much lately and really want to see our peeps tonight at @dadabarnyc if you're not busy or prepping for pride.
Swipe all the way for the info. It's free.

Whether it’s azz2azz in the booth 🎛 or transforming a room with endless layers hanging from the ceiling 🪡🕯🫧, they know how to shift the atmosphere into something alive ⚡️🌫💞 For this gathering, they’ll be curating the eye candy around the space 🍬👁 and vibe checking the whole night 🔦🌀✨

Things dangling? Check.
Tulle somewhere? Duh.
A sense of togetherness and community that only music can inspire? Of course 💞🫂🔊 taken in Brooklyn, New York by @djem______

Asa Asa Asa..

You came around here with your warmth and positive attitude. You danced your liver back to life after it was ready to 86 itself. You showed us all that just a little bit of weed and a lotta love for music is all you need to be the last man standing on the dance floor. What the hell man? Why you gotta give us all some inspiration to persevere even through the toughest of times?

Okay done with the bit, but for reals, it's the born day of @fromtechnoasa and you should just come, no questions asked, and dance about it.
Coverr is only $5. That's it.

The food & drink is high quality. The vibes are so vibed. Slow and groovy music will be on deck. The patio will be available for big chilling. @djem______ and myself are bringing the musical heat and maybe a surprise set by our birthday mans?

Thursday May 14th
