This is where you’ll catch me in the mix with flavas from Mobb Deep, Nas, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Das Efx, M.O.P, Wu Tang Clan and many more, including those hip hop inspired R&B and dancehall reggae joints. If you don’t know by now how we rocking over here you’ve been sleeping under a rock because that authentic hip hop is over here !!

September 20th I will be kicking off another New monthly The Sunday Rewind at none other than one of downtown Tampa’s premier party destinations @alteregotampa

Focusing heavy on R&B vibes of the 80’s 90’s and 00’s with some Hip Hop & Reggae properly mixed reminiscent of the mixtape era!
You may also catch me spinning a few little 🍩’s throughout the night as well

Join me this Friday Sept 11th as we embark on a whole new adventure in throwbacks leaning heavily on the more mixshow friendly Rap & R&B hits and also dig into the archives and touch other genres and styles from (New Jack Swing-Miami Bass-Freestyle and other surprises you may have forgotten or heard in years. Think of it as an old school house party vibe.

Located in Carrollwood Tiki Social has a full menu, outdoor tiki bar and a perfect sized dance floor for all my dancers to get busy!

If you think for a second I didn’t want to be there for @crowbarybor ‘s last hoorah or Sunday then think again.
I spent almost 13 years of my life every Sunday setting up a dj rig and sound, breaking it down and dealing with more 💩 than most humans could ever imagine and 95% of the time just for the love. Which is why I was nicknamed the glue by many. Not to mention having to go to work for 8-10 hours within 2 hours of leaving which in turn probably took many years off my life while everyone else slept and rested. Don’t get me wrong I knew what I signed up for and I’d do it all over again tomorrow, but I’d surely do a few things different.
Crowbar meant a lot to so many people including myself and I’m grateful to have met so many of you and built relationships with many of you over the years and as I watch everyone sharing their memories I’m also grateful to have been a part of those and will hold on to them moments for as long as I’m breathing. So while all of you enjoy those last moments tonight just know I’ve shed a tear or two as well for more reasons then just having to say goodbye. Iykyk

A time was had, thank you 🙏 to everybody who popped out to Retro Velvet this past Friday at @velvetgypsysh
I couldn’t have asked for a better turnout for my birthday. We were at capacity around 11 and the energy was amazing. As always thanks to the entire staff at Gypsy for everything you do !! And I cannot wait to rock with you all again in August.
To those who were asking about @lindsaymarieimages please send prayers her way as she was and is dealing with a pet emergency and couldn’t be with us to take photos but luckily @fotosetjames was in the building to grab some shots.

Join me as I take you on a journey back in time with an unforgettable soundtrack of Classic Hip-Hop, R&B, and Reggae, all night long.

At the stroke of midnight, we’ll raise a glass and celebrate with all of my fellow Leos as we toast my .. th birthday. We intentionally chose this date so we could celebrate together, making this edition of Retro Velvet even more special.

Come ready for great music, great energy, and an unforgettable night.

Back in 1999 I organized and through a b-boy battle titled “Battle Cry” at The Masquerade. Sadly I don’t have much of anything documented from those days however some very close friends happened to have held on to these pics since and man I’m so happy to have been able to witness greatness prior to these guys taking over the world shortly after IYKYK. @therealskmz

Retro Velvet Tampa’s “Culturally Appropriate” party for the Adult Hip Hop fan Returns !!

Join us at @velvetgypsysh with Tampa Hip Hop’s trailblazer @djfader for a night of classic Hip Hop,R&B and Dancehall unlike anything you’ll find in the Bay Area. This isn’t your typical watered down top 40 throwback rap party, this if for my Champion Hoodie wearing, Timberland boot stomping fans of Gang Starr, Mobb Deep, Krs One, Jay-Z, Bootcamp Click, M.O.P, Nas, Das Efx, Onyx, Lost Boyz and Many more and for the ladies of course I got the R&B and Dancehall vibes to keep you involved and partying with us all night long. In celebration of the Knicks first win in 53 years all the Hip Hop played this night only will be strictly from NY, that’s right all the Hip Hop they told me wouldn’t work and was going nowhere when I began bringing Tampa these sounds approx 40 years ago, so I expect to see all my NY rap fans in the building repping with your favorite NY team apparel! Can’t wait to see you there. 🫡
