I’m in a year long cohort on Spiritual Formation. It unpacks what and how we are being formed everyday. We don’t just wake up and become someone, we are formed daily into the people we become. This month we are focusing on the practice of listening. We live in a constant realm of noise internally (our own head) and externally (culture is always speaking to us). If we don’t create space to examen our lives daily, we will listen to the strongest voices instead of the truthful ones.

We’re goin to the finals! Love this Knicks team! Broke out my childhood jersey’s to celebrate with the boys! Love that @allan_houston is still apart of it! He will forever be my favorite Knick! Incredible player, husband, father, and follower of Christ. He’s a great example of someone whose calling (mission) has stayed the same even when playing basketball (circumstances) is over! This is the lie from the very beginning that Adam and Eve believed and can enslave us today:

God is good… but he’s not enough.

Therefore, instead of trusting our circumstances to Him, we play God of our own lives by seeking to control our circumstances in hopes that we can find whatever “enough” is apart from Him.

What a gift to spend 5 days at @athletesinaction headquarters with over 300 other staff who serve college athletic departments, the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS and Olympic sports teams around the world. It was so much fun getting to connect, grow, compete, and be encouraged alongside so many great people!
