Where does a heathen, spicy, creole begin…How does a husband, father and handful even begin too show thanks, praise, gratitude to the one person in this world that never gave in when it was tough, complained it was too hard, didn’t show that she loved me more than anything even when I was at my most…handful. I think I’ll say that there is no words, no sentiments, no affirmation that could ever encapsulate what you mean to me my love. As my father would say…“Tu viens de bonne souche”. I’m amazed everyday by the wealth of my own ignorance, but the one thing I am certain of in this life and the next and the next is…I married WAY above my pay grade and if you’ll have me, I will spend today and everyday hereafter proving why I’m a worthy man. If you kneaux me, you know the beginning was violent, brutal, fun and whole bunch of things I would never tell but it wasn’t until you…that I learned how to value the sanctity of life, you taught me the value in humanity and for that I could never repay you…but I’ll give it that old “bayou boogie” try.I could guffaw for days about how amazing a wife, mother, best friend & business partner you are but I’ll close with this my love…There is no “OUI” without U and I. Ayeaux! Checkin in with all my small business peeps and elementals, we’ve always done video game themed events and I LOVE hosting tourneys inside the event…but I have a couple that are putting it all on the line and instead of doing a 1st dance…they are gonna play a “1st game” and what’s on the line you might ask? The loser has to take the winners LAST NAME! Now, I’m all for having skin in the game and competing but THIS is EVERYTHING! I been so BUSY I haven’t had a chance to post in a while and while I was knee deep in prep, stress and all other things wedding shenanigan related the universe reminded me (in the form of my beautiful daughter) to slow DOWN and have a tea party…I don’t know who needs to hear this right now but take a break, have a tea party, smell the roses whatever it is…cause life…it really is so precious. A big ups to @swiftstyle for repressing AND adding to these legendary battle TOOLS. These are not just vinyl they are tools for creation. I even copped the test press (signed) and it looks dope! We need to change how we perceive these tools. I thought the price was right and that we as a community should consider raising the price on these tools and starting to charge/pay for our loopers from amazing producers like @molotovbreaks (check his bandcamp he’s got some fiyah loopers for sale) @paulskratch (Skratcher has some amazing things coming so please be on the lookout) @goldvoltron @lodusounds and many more! We need a paradigm shift in thinking in our village. Paying a little more for battle tools and loopers should be WELCOMED by our community not looked on as a money grab or trying to “sellout”. If you paying $8 for a Starbucks or $20 to get into a movie we DAMN sure can support our own! This money goes to buying new gear, plug ins and other tools to make their art dope so they can create for US. Late Namm post #1 This Namm was jam packed with excitement, intrigue and champagne scandals. I was honored to host @skratcher funky flow battle at the @innofader @12inchskinz @coolorcaps booth! It had all the makings of what I love about round robin battles! The @beatjunkieios kids battled and I can say the future is looking so bring we gotta wear shades!
