South Downs Way at Littleton Down, Friday 11th September 2026🌻

11 miles from C*cking Hill to Amberley, largely a landscape of monocultures: vast beech plantations and now stubbly arable fields. An outdoor factory? 🏭

The views to the Isle of Wight and the coast from Slindon are some of the loveliest along the whole trail I think 🏝️

11 miles between Pyecombe and Lewes on the ancient drove road (sheep highway) in the South Browns (17/7/26) 🥵

Omg it is so dry up there🌡️

Writing a longer photoblog on this walk which may take 6 months because it needs researching ✍️

Pyecombe is a really interesting place, blighted by the A23 🛣️
