Always great to work with the @fight4lifefound and @skylineclubindy. Marlin Jackson and his team do amazing work in the community and today we’re having some Colts pregame fun with an audience Q&A. Of course, we’re jammin’ great tunes in between the conversation! by @djhelicon

Ready to DJ and help MC another @indychamber #MonumentalAwards. I believe this is my 10th year involved with the event and it’s always a good time seeing the teams and visionaries around the #Indianapolis built environment get recognized for their work. by @djhelicon

Mudkids performing ‘Another Journey’ live!

In September 2026, the legendary Indianapolis hip-hop group, Mudkids, reunited to play a one-of-a-kind set at The 808 in Broad Ripple for WFYI’s Small Studio Sessions Live. Formed in 1997, Mudkids went on to become one of the most popular hip-hop acts from Indianapolis. With the unique beats of Tyler Knapp (DJ Elp-Mass) and the conscious lyricism of Rusty Redenbacher, they helped usher in a new era of hip-hop in Indiana. This exciting set features classic Mudkids standards along with a new song by Redenbacher’s new project “Rusty Redenbacher is Nasty Slim.”

Watch the full session at the link in bio!

Had the honor of introducing my friends @robdixonsax and @sleepynap before they took the stage at @indyjazzfest last weekend.

Also had to take the opportunity to make sure the crowd knew how lucky they were to have such amazing musicians in our city playing with an all-star lineup. Super dope set and great people to work with! by @djhelicon

Meet the man behind the music. 🎚️

@djhelicon is the mind behind our monthly DJ schedule, and someone who knows a thing or two about great sound. Hear him talk about what makes The Pretender’s state-of-the-art sound system so special, engineered by the audio obsessives at @uncannedmusic.

Come listen properly. 🔊💿 Catch live DJs every Friday + Saturday night, or take over the turntables yourself during BYO Vinyl Nights every Monday + Tuesday. by @djhelicon
