The Grinch came by, told Santa to bugger off, and stole the spotlight last year... Maybe he’ll pay us this year? 😅 (jokes) #novatooinc #novatoo #geneva #eventlighting #outdooreventlighting #thegrinch #christmas #audiovisualtechnician taken in Geneva 3rd Street by @djiaant

Flashback to @rockiefresh launch party for his album “Destination.” It was a pleasure assisting with lights and running sound through @splchicago

Events like this make me miss working with bands, especially when the musicians are talented and humble! 🤘🏿💕 #audioengineer #audioassistant #gala #fundraiser #backstage #liveband #writerstheatre #fourseasonshotel #tcfurlong taken in Four Seasons Hotel Chicago by @djiaant

Each lampie gig has me becoming more giddy over the next one and how more fun I can make it for the crowd and men. Hooked up an Akai APC20 via RD Show Cockpit on Onyx for fingertip control. 🤘🏿

A little teaser from May for @ludorum and @bkesler32 wedding in Ray, Michigan! It was one of the most adventurous gigs in that I had to rent a truck on my own; throw myself into the lampie fire with new movers (errr 2x are ex’s now...they sucked.) and more intensive programming. I knocked out a setup meant for for 2-3x folks (with some cheating by loading partially in the night before) and STILL made it to the ceremony in time, and not smelly!! Later, being asked about 20 times to play 50’s music before the lady realized no one was dancing each time SO she “meant to say” 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s, and Conga music to clear the dancefloor when I happen to walk away for a moment. To end the night out before a quick strike with lovely and friendly faces, one of whom got punched in the face by a rude lady and could still coil a cable correctly while being drunk, “Closing Time” by Semisonic. 🔥 It was nice seeing friendly and familiar faces that weekend; MTU makes this big world feel small, in a great way... Some self realizations were made and greatly needed this trip, I appreciate who I am and better understand what I mean to others to in a weird fuzzy feeling way 🙈
As much as it may feel like I am in over my head and change things on the fly, I would do it again and again because of how much everyone enjoyed themselves, especially the breathtakingly beautiful bride and the handsome groom. 💖 The hospitality, kindness, and generosity of those two is inspiring. Thank you for having me; it was not a pain in the ass like you teased me with hehe 🙈

Big Photo Credit to Michael @ R.U.Framed (http://www.ruframed.com/) for the amazing work!!!! 📸

AV Tech for hire: will work for free food, subwoofers, projectors, and maybe (most likely maybe) lamps. Money is cool too.
Did you say drape? Uhhhhhh I’m booked that day, sorry... #stagehand #audiotechnician #lightingguy #videotech #projectmanager #freelance #drapecansuckit #avtechnician #semitrailer #forhire taken in Loews Chicago O'Hare Hotel by @djiaant

Had a BLAST playing audio and video guy, working with the student crew, and look forward to being back in this unique performing arts center!! It seems as though I continue to walk through the fields of “irony” lately. It’s humorous lol
