This is my new album: LIP/Stationary. Or really a re-vision of an old unreleased one that I now feel is finished. 20+ years ago I created an ambient theme and variations with the theme of being “locked in place,” of feeling stationary. It was a pessimistic view; this rework pitches it in a new light by combining field recordings and found sounds that invite the listener to instead lock in place and stop the flow of busy thoughts, to focus and remain stationary for a moment. It’s primarily a quiet record ideally listened to alone on decent headphones. I hope you enjoy it. If you do give it a listen I also give you my thanks. Currently available on Spotify and ITunes, with other platforms soon to follow. #miseenscène #ambient #ambientmusic taken in Brooklyn, New York by @djinbetween

I’ve got a “new” record out called Loss (Decades I-III): it’s a collection of songs made in roughly the 15 year period between 1998-2013, downtempo-ish collage-y stuff centered around an obvious theme. Link in bio and stories. #loss #dj #downtempo #instrumentalhiphop #beats #samples #audiocollage #brokenhearted #brokenhearts #heartbroken #sadness taken in Brooklyn, New York by @djinbetween
