Jamie Ferguson – Back at Redemption 🔥

We’re buzzing to welcome Jamie Ferguson back after he absolutely smashed it last time out, it was clear he was enjoyed it just as much as the crowd.

A true Sheffield legend with deep roots in the scene, Jamie first made his name at Network (FKA Zero) for Reflective before going on to build a serious reputation after securing a residency at the original Niche on Sidney Street.

These days, alongside still delivering the goods on the decks, he’s put a lot of energy into his studio and giving something back. Jamie now spends time working with young people through music — helping them find direction, confidence and a positive outlet.

Expect another classy, high-energy set full of the selection and passion that made his last Redemption appearance such a standout.

Welcome back, Jamie. Always a pleasure 💙

let’s take it back to the Niche days 💚💛@djjamieferguson has been telling me about how music changed his life as a teenager, his career as a DJ behind the decks at the legendary Niche nightclub in Sheffield and how he’s made it his mission to give back to Sheffield’s aspiring producers and DJ’s 🪩

Big shout to @expmagsheff for the feature in this month’s August edition 🙌

Great to sit down and talk about my younger days and discovering DJing, through to my residency at Niche, the Sheffield music scene and what I’m doing now with @arundellanestudios_

Mad seeing nearly 30 years squeezed into a couple of pages 😂

Give it a read if you get chance 👊

What a weekend! ❤️

The Speed Garage tent on Saturday was absolutely rocking. It was so good seeing so many familiar faces, old mates and people I’ve not seen for years all together, having a proper rave. The atmosphere from start to finish was unreal and the tent was bouncing.

Then a surprise back-to-back set with Jamie Duggan on the Garage Stage on Sunday just topped the weekend off. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to finish it.

It was also brilliant to see every arena busy. Seeing thousands of people enjoying themselves in Sheffield can only be a good thing.

I’ve seen a lot of comments over the last couple of days. If people had a bad experience, they’re entitled to say so. That’s how events improve. But I do think some of it’s getting a bit out of hand. Criticising the event is one thing, but turning it into a witch hunt or sharing people’s details from Companies House is another. They’re people at the end of the day.

I also think it’s only fair to give credit where it’s due. The organisers have already acknowledged that parts of Saturday didn’t go as planned and, from what I saw, they worked incredibly hard to improve things for Sunday. That deserves recognising too.

The reality is we don’t have many festivals like this in Sheffield. Where else do you get underground dance music, garage, house and the bigger commercial acts all on the same bill?

90s Fest gives DJs like us, who play underground music, a platform to play our sound in the sunshine, in our own city, in front of thousands of people.

By all means, give feedback if something wasn’t right, because that’s how events get better. But I’d hate to see the negativity get to a point where people stop wanting to bring events like this to Sheffield. We need more of them, not fewer.

Thanks again to everyone who came down, danced and supported us over the weekend. Roll on next year. ❤️ by @djjamieferguson

Jamie Ferguson – Redemption Debut 🔥

We’re privileged and honoured to welcome Jamie Ferguson for his Redemption debut on 6th June.

A true Sheffield legend, Jamie first started making moves right here at Network, formerly Zero on those early Reflective nights.

It wasn’t long until he caught the attention of Niche and earned himself a residency at the legendary venue.

Although he went on to excel and build a big reputation after joining the Niche family, many believe Network is still his spiritual home — the venue that first gave him the platform to showcase his skills.

Expect a unique Sidney Street Classics set filled with classy blends and forgotten gems that get the whole room bouncing. Jamie is known for his impeccable selection and, just as importantly, always making time for the ravers — often can be found on the dancefloor before or after his set.

Welcome to Redemption, Jamie. This one’s going to be special 💙
