@stonesthrow @thebeatjunkies and s3xism in music, boys clubs, and why booking femme talent and signing femmes who make music and rap is VITAL.

@stonesthrow had to remove an artist for CA and is a label that works with a majority male artist roster. I’m a longtime fan but like so many male dominated music empires there is little reflection done until it’s called out. Then the classic PR scramble to apologize, remove from lineups, on and on.

@thebeatjunkies still platforms music by men convicted of violence against women. They seldom feature remixes by women in their pools, and since I’m a decade plus paying subscriber I’d love to see change. But won’t hold my breath that the boys club will be accountable to the parts they play in supporting toxic aspects of music.

Mama is tired and honestly you boys need to let go and let a woman run things. Just for the perspective ✌🏼#stonesthrow #beatjunkies by @djmadresf

Hi! I’m old af. About to turn 50.

If I could tell my younger self anything, it would be that one day, I’ll find my people. People who will love me just as I am. People who I will love too. One day, lil me will be safe from harm and happy and content.

I’ll be taking a moment to celebrate on Oct 3 @casementsbar and you are all invited. Even if we’ve only met once. Or have known each other for all these years. I’d love to see you 💟

In lieu of gifts I will be collecting donations for @thepcrf and for @phcsf my two beloved charities.

Getting older means both loss and expansion, aches and growth. I’m lucky to be here. Thank you for being in my life and for sharing laughs, love, and music with me.

I love you all 💖 by @djmadresf

Support @immdefense they were my Jan donation and are doing the work
