Aankomende zaterdag (22-08-26) bij FLAVA IN YA EARS: een interview met @djmightymi (Mighty Mi van The High & Mighty) !!!

The High & Mighty, Eastern Conference All Stars, Smut Peddlers, Cage, Copywrite etc… Need I say more?

@djsoptimusprime

Waar/ wanneer/ hoe/ wat?

New Record Label Alert‼️
Very excited to announce the launch of my new label, TREATS @treatsrecords.
A strictly 45’s label, specializing in DJ’s.
Our first release is the classic “Conga Shake” by my good friend @djsteve1der. Still heard nightly in your favorite NBA arenas, “Conga” remains a staple in any DJ’s set. A tasteful “I Like It” flip on the B-side. The record will debut tonight at 9pm EST exclusively at @bumrush45.

New video for “Most In Outs” by The High & Mighty ft Cage.
Remix produced by me & Shroom.
Video visuals by me.

After doing the remix I wanted to create something that went with it that attempted to took you back to the vibe of late 90’s / Early 2K’s of Brooklyn & Queens. The old New York. Dusty & Gully. The Smut Peddlers / Movies For The Blind era.

Thanks to @emeltz & @djmightymi and @shroom020.

What an honor to finally get to work with one of my favorite hiphop groups of all time The High & Mighty! Also an incredible honor to AGAIN get to work with both Large Professor & Tash. DJ Mighty Mi, Mr Eon, Large Pro & Tash are all found in the foundation of my sound as an emcee & a producer. I spent countless hours during the early Brown Bag AllStars era analyzing my fav member of Tha Alkoholiks, Tash’s flow and trying to emulate it while I developed my own style/flow. 1 of my best friends of 28 years @dcutsup & I still quote classic Mr. Eon lines to each other to this day. I bigged Mighty Mi up in my 2016 song “Nightfalls” speaking about how Mi inspired a generation from his production to starting Eastern Conference Records. I’ve spent the last 23 years of producing chasing the high that @xplargepro drums give me.

What an absolute honor to be on this album and to work with these 4 Legends.

I have to shout my brother Ports (R.I.P.) out - he put me onto High & Mighty in 1999 & made me an instant/ lifelong fan. Today marks the 14th anniversary of his passing, which is a crazy coincidence for many reasons. Wish I could send this song to him to see what he thinks but I know he’s watching & listening 🙏

THANK YOU Milo & Eon!! Beyond grateful to be on a High & Mighty album.

Shout to Jim, Mike, Gerald, Choi & Gary at Soulspazm for being the best distro in the biz!

I’m going to send this to all my radio DJ’s asap asap asap by @djmightymi
