A DANCEFLOOR FAVORITE

Deep house royalty checked in for this one. “Tsunami’s Groove” is a masterclass from @coflothesoulshifter, dropped in late 2024 as part of his debut EP on Sacred Medicine Records, the legendary imprint curated by @djrontrent and @joeclaussellsplaygroundd .

The vibe? Pure spiritual psychedelic transcendence. The kind of track that sends your mind to another dimension 😮‍💨

A DANCEFLOOR FAVORITE

Welcome to the otherworldly universe of the legendary multi-instrumentalist, composer, and electronic wizard Daniel Grau.

Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela 🇻🇪 Grau operated out of his own private studio during the late 1970s and early 1980s. During this era, Caracas was a booming economic and creative powerhouse, paving the way for an underground musical avant-garde. Grau single-handedly wrote, arranged, produced, and engineered his records, earning him the title of the “Venezuelan Giorgio Moroder”.

“El León Bailarín” (The Dancing Lion), the defining title track of his iconic fifth studio album. Grau took the hypnotic, relentless electronic pulse of late ’70s European disco drawing deep inspiration from massive synth blueprints like Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love” and collided it with the warmth of the Venezuelan Caribbean. The result is pure Space Age Disco Funk ⚡️

One of my favorite tracks for my sets lately and the feeling is amazing knowing he vas from Venezuela!!!

Two years ago, I still don’t know why, the legend @kennysummit made a contest, listened to one of my mixes, and invited me to headline at his special club @compactdisco831.

It was one of those nights sharing the booth with @dj_loloh_ and @dj_ed.e that I remember as if it was yesterday. The energy, the crowd vibrating and dancing in such an incredible way, it was special.

When I moved to Monterey, I didn’t hesitate to reach out to Kenny, and without a second thought, he gave me a monthly spot at his club as a resident, and the rest is history.

Extended sets, opening for major DJs like @gavin.hardkiss, @iamworthy, @charlesfeelgood, and the support of the locals who always made me feel like a superstar.

Of course, none of this would be possible without the other excellent resident DJs who are now good friends: @dj_loloh_, @dj_ed.e, @djchristerry, @jgillmusic, @shelostcontrol.la, @djivan831, and the only one @djtraps.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for a memorable year ❤️🪩
