While I was out on my walk this morning…I was thinking of my friend’s podcast, Confident Connections, when she shared about her lack of interaction with people at the gym because she was wearing the universal ‘do not talk to me’ sign aka headphones while working out. So she started going to the gym without wearing any and instantly began connecting with others.

So I attempted this in my gym and in my first attempt made a new friend. This morning it was so amazing to watch how turning off that signal allowed for actual conversation and connection with people I’ve never met.

That led me to to the thought…do I have that don’t talk to me sign on when I pray to God?!? So today I challenge you to and me too to turn off that sign when we pray and go throughout our day to allow God access to speak into our lives concert Inc let me know if you’re up for the challenge.

I’m off to deep clean my home like my sister before the s-word is officially over.

I want to say thank you to EVERYONE that paused and took time to wish me a happy birthday!! Bonus points for those that made their own post, sent a text, gift and/or called!! It truly means ALOT to me that you did!!

The BEST birthday gift for me came a few days before my birthday as I was one of the coaches working the Elite Camp with Coach Staley and her staff at USC!!! I was pushed out of my comfort zone and most importantly confirmed that my coaching style is in high demand for elite level athletes!!

I leave this camp with more knowledge, connections and memories than pictures but the growth will be evident the next time you see me!!

The most valuable thing I learned is what I want you to not only read and see but also experience. Thank you all again. I challenge each of us as we continue to live, advance and prosper…that we never allow the good, the bad or the blessings take us from the character that put us there!! CoachP by @djnikipspeaks

Some of you might not know how much I absolutely love to dance !! COVID caused me to push past my fears and that when I began dancing, talking and living with the lens!! Somewhere along the way since then I’ve crawled back into the cocoon of fear, doubt and unbelief…but the beauty of it is I’m coming out transformed and made new!! No matter what caused you to turn back, I’m challenging each of us to turn again and get back on the journey of #doingitafraid
