Sappy post loading... I just want to start by saying how thankful I am. Looking around and seeing so many of you packed that dancefloor for our silly little beep boop music was a surreal moment. Before the event kicked off, we had 490 RSVPs. I genuinely told myself I’d be happy if just 20% of you actually came. Then the floor filled up. @janko.beats and I were up there playing, and I lost count of how many times we looked at each other and went, “Holy shit.” A huge thank you to everyone who danced with us, especially the core crew who always pulls up, even if it’s not your usual spot or the whole city is throwing parties. Saying that I definitely notice is an understatement. Throwing these events takes a bit of mental Tetris. making the flyers, mapping out promo, booking the right DJs, finding the right gear, loading in sound equipment, coordinating vendors, and dialing in the perfect layout. That core crew that always pulls up makes it worth it. Another shout out goes to everyone I texted thinking about how to handle the 95% chance of rain and to @hannahfracc for dealing with my crazy. Thanks for the last minute canopy tents and thank you to the weather gods for not giving us a drop of rain. A nice check in the box for our little team of party-ers. Now, the goal is to make the next one so big that I look back at this post and laugh at how tiny this crowd actually was. P.S.
