ISLA44 - Ohh - Now and Never

From Ohh @djohoh (aka DJ Double OH!) a full length of hypnagogic Cumbia that crosses the veil. Ghosts in the field recordings, murky film samples, instruments recorded and stretched, YouTube Abuelita prayers, birdsong, cantina ambience and heavy con el resampling.

Kosmic collage of sound and memory exploring the myriad of diasporic identity. Disembodied and viscous, irreverent to familiar structure but dutifully inviting. A cauldron of sampladelic tropicalia tasting of stream of consciousness. Sopa de pollo para el alma.

Montage of intergenerational memories play through a scratched lens smudged with vaseline. Iridescent visions of those gone and those yet to come.
