Soooo for those of you who know me, you know that I been at this Hip Hop and Education thing for a long time. When I first began making beats in the late 80’s, creating a Hip Hop Studies program was not even in my line of vision. Over the past decade, it has become my passion. Two years ago @drview1 and I began our adventure @theohiostateuniversity and we started with a Hip Hop culture class and a beat making class. We keep adding on to the cipher. I have watched my brothers @beatjunkieios and so many others bring DJing to the forefront with classes and curriculum; And today I am PROUD to announce we have a DJ LAB and a DJ CLASS @theohiostateuniversity @ohiostateschoolofmusic - this is big for me. Now of course we still got some work to do, but we got a start! And if you know then you know how big this is. We came a long way and got so much more work to do! My brother @djosharp will be teaching the class. And WE START TOMORROW! Don’t you wish you was back in college?!? taken in School of Music at The Ohio State University by @djosharp

My students bring curiosity and anxiety into my classes. And then we create from it all. I’m grateful for the opportunity to develop a hip hop studies minor at @theohiostateuniversity that reflects all the experiences I learned from when a program didn’t exist for me. taken in The Ohio State University by @djosharp
