2025 💫💫💫

111 gigs (3 interstate and 1 international. MC duties at 13 of them). My first 12 months as a “Full Time DJ” & my biggest year so far. I took the scary leap from my secure day job (after 17 years 🫣) and dove head first into my small DJ business - whilst becoming a SAH mumma of 3 🌪❤️‍🔥

Throw beginning my celebrancy course in there as well. Holy shit. A year of record breaking sleep dep, serious hustle, sacrifice, many moments of self doubt & fear but then many more moments of unforgettable fun, incredible vibes, pumping dance floors, growth, expansion & complete fulfilment.

It’s not lost on me what a privilege it is to do what I do every week, to go to work and be happy, creative, & thrive in an industry that brings me so much purpose and joy 🥹❤️

To all my incredible clients and agents who have booked me this year, the biggest heart felt THANK YOU. Thank you is never enough, I couldn’t possibly be doing this without you and your bookings every single week. Thank you to those that referred me and spread word of mouth.

The biggest Thanks to our parents for their never ending support & baby sitting more times then they should on the weekends Danny and I are both gigging.

To the best husband ever - supporting this new chapter of mine & staying home many Friday & Saturday nights to bottle feed & tuck our rug rats in to bed, I love you so much @dannyleooooo

And thanks to you guys for all your online support. Every review like these, every like, comment, share - supports me in ways I can’t express. I am so grateful to have worked with so many wonderful people, couples, brands, events, venues, fellow vendors & performers this year. At times this year has been sheer survival mode but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I can’t wait for what 2026 has in store and I’m so excited to work with so many special people in the New Year.

You know that scene from Big Daddy when little Julian puts on Adam Sandlers sunnies and it makes him feel brave & strong, that’s what these glasses do 😂🥹 they leave us feeling calm & invincible like nothing can harm us.

As a DJ & a drummer, we’re constantly surrounded by bright screens, stage lighting, and artificial blue light late into the evening.

The challenge is that blue light can signal to your brain that it’s still daytime, making it harder for your body to naturally produce melatonin the hormone that helps regulate sleep. When it comes to going to sleep early hours of the morning, more often then not this left our brains wired & frazzled and getting to sleep took a lot longer.

Late nights aren’t a choice, they’re part of what we love. So protecting our sleep & circadian rhythm has become essential.

When the music stops, we’re still parents that need to get up early for our little humans, and Balterra blue light blockers support this by helping us look & feel our best on and off the stage.

We’ve tried a couple different brands, but Balterra all the way down. Can’t recommend enough ❤️

Unpopular opinion: female DJs do it differently.

Not better. Not worse. Just differently.

During my set on Saturday night, three people (two women and one man) came up to me and commented on how lovely it was to see a woman behind the decks. They spoke about the energy, the atmosphere, and the way the room felt. It was feedback that left me smiling long after my gig ended.

This isn’t a knock on the guys. Some of my favourite DJs in the world are men, and many of my close DJ pals that inspire me every day are too. But it’s no secret that the industry has historically been male-dominated, and with that comes a certain energy that has shaped dance floors for decades.

What I love now is that we’re seeing more women step behind the decks and bring something uniquely their own. A different perspective. A different presence. A different way of connecting with a crowd.

Music is universal, but the people delivering it all bring their own flavour. And I think there’s something really special about seeing more feminine energy represented in our industry 🪽

Not because it’s better. Because it’s different. And different is beautiful ✨🎧

Grateful for the connections & friendships I now have with both men & women thanks to this amazing industry 🎶
