On July 11th 2026, we lost an extraordinary soul and a phenomenal producer. Teije, better known to so many of us as @thelenzman left an unforgettable mark on Drum & Bass—not only through his music, but through the kind of person he was.I had the honor of opening for Lenzman and LTJ Bukem DJ at Two:Tone DRUM & BASS in August 2017. To this day, it remains one of my favorite shows I’ve ever played. What made it even more special was getting to spend time with Teije after the show. He was genuinely one of the most humble, kind, and welcoming people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting.I’m incredibly grateful to Two:Tone (Athenagow Hernandez) that I had the opportunity to not only open for him and LTJ Bukem, but to share conversations, meals and laughs with him before the show and afterward. Those memories mean even more today.My heart goes out to The North Quarter family—hands down my favorite record label—and to everyone around the world who knew, loved, and was inspired by Teije and his music.This is a heartbreaking weekend for the worldwide Drum & Bass family.Rest in peace, Teije.
