I can't stop thinking about how good the spice bag was that I had earlier this week @the_long_hall_ The chicken and spicy fries are incredible, but I also love how much flavor the peppers and onions add too! Dipping it all in the curry sauce is on point as well. If you haven't had this dish before I highly recommend you go try it here. It's a lot of food, but it's not super heavy and is great for one person. Of course, the perfect compliment is having a few pints of some of the best @guinnessus in the city. Guys, the other night I was walking home in the rain and needed a nightcap. I stopped in @bernieandherbs and I got what I needed. I ordered an extra dirty vodka martini up with Tito's. This drink was perfect! It was almost too good, as when I was finished I absolutely wanted another one...but I knew that wouldn't bode well for the next morning. I switched it up and had two @montuckycoldsnacks to wind down. I also ordered a @originalnathansfranks hot dog which was the most perfect compliment to everything. You all must stop by here soon. I've been now a few times and it is easily going to be in my rotation of places I frequent. There's nothing else to say here other than these slices are undefeated! @diamondslice absolutely Runs The Jewels in NYC and is the best slice hands down. Another day where lunch at the @thedeadrabbitny gave me the best start to my day. The chicken pot pie was off the menu for a bit, but alas it is back! I knew I needed it and it delivered as I knew it would. I don't remember the side of cranberry from before, but I absolutely loved it as an addition to this dish. I could eat this once a week hands down it is that good. Honestly, I likely will as the colder months settle in. Had to of course get some @mrtaytoireland as a companion to my @guinnessus. And speaking of companions, I always get a @teelingwhiskey single grain on the rocks for my last pint and round and it did the job perfectly today as usual. Summer's gone but as it always leads to sunsets like this, please give it to me every single day ♥️. I embrace the fade into the coldness, and every batch of colder temps, the better I feel. Summer is tough for me as I am not a fan of the heat, sweating, the smells, the crowds, basically everything. It is all too much for me, especially being in NYC the whole time. I honestly can't wait for the cold, crisp air, amazing sunsets, no one around, seeing my breath as I walk. This was the view I saw 2 nights ago when I looked out of my apartment windows. I happened to look outside at the exact time the drones outlined the Twin Towers. It was powerful to see. Today, as I think back 25 years ago to 9/11 when I was 17 years old in NJ, I can remember everything. All the details of that day are crystal clear in my mind. I remember how blue the sky was that day. I know everyone says that, but it really was and it was a perfect weather day. I remember being in the cafeteria at school and we heard that a plane hit the WTC. We all thought it must have been a small plane, but we had a skyline view of the city from my school. Once we looked out and saw the smoke, we knew it was much worse than initially reported. I remember the shock I felt, what was happening?? My dad used to work blocks from there. He was laid off maybe a month before and if he hadn't been, he would have been there that day as he was at work very early everyday and I know he would have tried to help everyone as best he could. Life could have been very different today if that had happened. I remember how silent the skies were for days it might have been weeks when no planes were flying and everything was grounded. I remember the times before when you could go to the airport and walk right up to the gate as we always did to pick up my grandma when she was visiting from California. Life changed forever that day, for so many people here and in the entire world. I felt a crazy range of emotions today as I'm sure so many people did. Life moves fast, and it hit harder today because of a quarter century now being behind us, but this all seems like yesterday to me. As I reflect, my heart goes out to all the families directly affected. Everyone is in my thoughts and I know we will all Never Forget 🙏♥️🇺🇸🗽 taken in Manhattan, New York by @djshea

Guys, if this really is the last time I have @mimichengs in person at the restaurant, well then I went out with a bang tonight! I had to get some greens, so I went with the Taiwanese Street Greens which are always solid. Of course I had to get the Spicy Dan Dan noodles as well. I always, always get that dish, even though it destroys my mouth but is so addictive and I can never stop eating it! And, the star of the show and my favorite dumplings ever from any collab they have ever done, The Emmy Burger Dumplings! It's ridiculous how many times I've had them over the years but they are the best, hands down in my opinion, and tonight they stood at the top again. Those dumplings are followed by the Thanksgiving Dumplings and closely behind that are the Buffalo Chicken Dumplings. That is my Mt. Rushmore of everything they have done 🥇🥈🥉 I'm going to miss the restaurant so much as it has been one of my favorite spots for over a decade. I highly recommend you go there in the next week before they close up shop and get The Emmy Burger Dumplings. Believe me, you will thank me later. I'm going to try to get there again next week, because I think I need them one more time. Sometimes all you need is a field watch to get you through the cavernous blocks in Manhattan. I got this @hamiltonwatch Khaki Field last year and it has been a great watch. Believe it or not it was my first mechanical watch. I have multiple automatic watches which many people think are the same as mechanical. That is not the case as with mechanical watches you need to wind it every few days to keep it going. Unlike automatic watches which will use your energy to keep it going. I normally stick to the Guinness when I'm at @banshee_nyc ... but I'm very glad I got a martini tonight. This was a great cocktail which I had to get extra dirty with the blue cheese olives 🫒 It was the right move and I will absolutely be getting one again soon.
