We’re pleased to introduce the next guest artist to the Maat project. For this edition, we’re joined by @djshell__ , the solo project of a Groningen-based artist also involved in Jamlink ( @jamlink_ ) and the Mole’s Hope ( @moles.hope ) label and collective, where he explores his most instinctive side.

His musical language is guided by intuition, curiosity, and a deep love for records that slowly reveal their depth. Understated but never static, his approach turns the dancefloor into a space for slow captivation, creating a sonic refuge where the music can simply unfold.

Big thanks to DJ Shell for sharing his unique perspective and selection with the project.
And thanks to all of you for listening and supporting the movement. ❤️ taken in Amsterdam, Netherlands by @djshell__

For the one who missed it, these are the two artists we slected from our open call!

Taking the opening slots at De Fik Garden next week: @djshell__ and @levsolem 🔥

Out of 150+ applications, these two really stood out. We can’t wait to hear what they have in store for us 😏

Make sure to come down early and catch their sets. Big thanks again to everyone who applied 💜🙏 by @djshell__

One word. Magical.

I am looking back immensely delighted at last weekend.

Thank you all so much for supporting me. Loved seeing the faces of my friends and family early. It couldn't have been the same without you.

@gerrit_de_boer I had a lovely time sharing the booth with you. Truly a full circle moment for me. Looking forward to our next endeavour. 🫶🏽

@christianthomas.jpg Thank you for the trust and the hospitality. It really felt like home once again.

Love y'all <3

A few of our residents and Northern-based artists stopped by De Jongens van Hemmes to dig for a record for their Paradigm Festival set.

Mysteriae 037 - DJ Shell

For Mysteriae 037, DJ Shell steps in with a hybrid mix that slowly burns like a candle. Wax melting, records opening up, the whole thing finding shape as it goes.

It starts ethereal and enchanting, drifting through soundscapes that feel light at first, before gradually sinking into a more murky and spiritual environment. From there, the pressure builds. Not in a rushed way, not by throwing obvious peak time moments around, but by letting the tracks do their thing until the mix finds its own energetic climax.

Alongside his work in Jamlink and the Mole’s Hope collective, DJ Shell is the solo project of this Groningen-based artist. This is where the instinctive side comes forward. A dancefloor language guided by intuition, curiosity, and a love for sounds that slowly reveal what they are really made of.

At the core there is also something that should maybe be mentioned more often: fun, friendship, and building a scene together. Whether behind the decks, digging for records, or being around the people that keep Groningen interesting, DJ Shell brings that spirit with him.

Understated but never static. A sonic refuge. A shell of sound to inhabit. taken in Groningen, Netherlands by @djshell__

Quite an unreal feeling to be honest. As a long time supporter of Paradigm I've often daydreamed of being on the other side of the booth.

Feeling super grateful to be able to do it with none other than @gerrit_de_boer . A long time inspiration of mine and a reminder to stay true to my own sound.

Can't wait to see you all in the forest. <3

P.s.: I want to share my appreciation to @christianthomas.jpg , not only for putting his trust in me, but also nailing the festival's programming time and time again! by @djshell__

A few weeks back I played a set at lunchtime at vinyl bar @loop51_ams

Decided to post an unedited version, no skips or mistakes cut out. It's not perfect, but nothing truly is.

Being in a new environment on a new rotary definitely translated into some audibly nervous energy early on, but maybe I'm being too hard on myself. You be the judge. <3

Last week, my good friend (and master crate digger) @djheadlock and I went b2b for two hours on wax.

Had a lot of fun prepping and playing this one, and I’m very satisfied with the end result.
It’s a smooth journey through both our flavors of house and techno. Building up from ambient textures to classic sounds, to driving forces and back again.

The full set is now available on YouTube (Link in bio)

Thank you @relate.radio for hosting us and @emmz.dj for the invite. 🖤 by @djshell__
