3 YEARS IN LOS ANGELES 🥹 …

3 years ago, I packed all my things and moved to Los Angeles with $1400 in my pocket. I was in love with someone, and thought I had it all figured out, but life had other plans. I found myself heartbroken, lost, and forced to face the parts of me I had been running from.

This city isn’t cheap, and it isn’t easy. It’s full of flakes and fakes—but also some of the most beautiful, creative, and emotionally intelligent people I’ve ever met. Coming here so young, with no parental support or real guidance, I stumbled hard. I partied too much, leaned on substances, and even faced homelessness.

But through heartbreak and chaos, I learned to love myself. I found peace through poetry and writing. I fell in love with music, DJing, and creating spaces where people can come together and feel free. The highs and lows have been intense. I’ve made friends, I’ve lost friends, but without those people, I would never be where I’m at today.

Los Angeles broke me down, but it also gave me the chance to rebuild stronger. 3 years later, I know this much for sure: I came to LA for love—but I stayed because I found myself. 🌴✨🤍 taken in Los Angeles, California by @djzavoda
