Circa 2023, I got a mere human-perspective glimpse of the great Nanga Parbat for the first time. I wore a cowboy hat and a cape during the ascent, as the dreams I brought along had their own weight and the inner child was chock full of enthusiasm. Believe it or not, I was even branded "The Caped Crusader of Gilgit-Baltistan" when locals and tourists alike found a liking to my extravagance. In a very neurodivergent way, it was my own world, and I called the shots at who I was going to be. Over-encumbered with processing something at this colossal scale, I found myself at a loss of words. A silence albeit ephemeral, but sacred for its brief entirety. In my cradle of insignificance, I wondered if these glaciers and rivers are where all the LOVE comes from. How does it get to us all the way up from the alpine meadows? Maybe it flows down the waterways like a stream running down a valley? Maybe it embodies the same water, soft and pleasant, but formidable enough to carve its own path? Maybe the glaciers uphold the oath to keep it coming? Maybe the birds stow it in whatever small morsels their beaks can carry. It made me wonder, if LOVE is as abundant as the water in the rivers, the snow on the mountains, or the spark in your eyes, then why are we still so devoid of it? Why is it still a sight for sore eyes and numbed hearts? Where is the compassion and the empathy all living beings (who try) deserve for unwillingly taking the plunge of existence in such a cold, unforgiving world? Near the end of this arduous journey, a nation-wide quest to unveil the source of this bliss, I never knew it was emanating from my own beating heart. The LOVE that I sought, was inside me all along. And it is certainly not just for you or me or us. It is for every soul to bask in. Most astonishingly, the snow-capped mountains summonned me thousands of miles away, just to get this simple message across. The long road was but the process to amplify the magnitude of this message. Heed this photo/text as your inner voice. Exist Unapologetically. Be shamelessly yourself. Do relentlessly good by your people. And above all, keep the LOVE coming. Give it and take it. Godspeed 🙏❤ by @dk.99x

Year's end is always a special time. Between the cold breeze, the festivities, and the peace of nightfall, it always leaves one wondering what they ever did to deserve such an annual epilogue. As if this time isn't tranquil enough, witnessing the geminid meteor shower for the first time, reminded me of both the beauty of the endless divination of the heavens, and the insignificance of human life under the infiniteness of the skies above. Today I am anticipating the end of the year with a full heart. Content, whole, happy, stronger, wiser, and better aware of what and who in this mortal world serves me. And above all, I am grateful. Celestially grateful. by @dk.99x
