Growing up in an orphanage in Ethiopia, life was often chaotic and unpredictable, but the one constant that brought peace and joy to me was watching Messi play for Barcelona in the early 2000’s.

It felt like the entire world came to a stop, and for those moments, I had the freedom to dream beyond my circumstances. Messi’s talent and passion inspired me to persevere and believe that anything was possible.

Being part of these projects means more to me than I can put into words. It’s not just about working alongside (The G.O.A.T.) a legend—it’s about honoring the hope and inspiration he gave me as a kid. 🙏🏽💪🏽

Born in Ethiopia, having shoes was once considered a luxury. Today’s runners including myself are privileged to have access to some of the most advanced and expensive equipment.

But I will never forget the story of my fellow countryman, Abebe Bikila, who inspired a generation of runners like myself.

He showed the world that it’s not expensive equipment that makes the runner-it’s the will, the determination, and the courage to step out and move the body the way the divine created and intended.
