We’re so grateful to God and to the film audiences who continue to go to see Daniel and the Fiery Furnace in theatres. People like you who are telling friends about it and keeping this independent, faith-based film in cinemas.

This past weekend as Hollywood heavyweights like Tom Holland, Sandra Bullock, Brad Pitt, the Avengers, and the zombies of a billion-dollar video game franchise hit the big screens, so did a beloved story from the Bible.

Throughout its second weekend and this week Daniel and the Fiery Furnace stayed in the Top Ten.

Hundreds of thousands of hearts have been touched by this timely message and reminded that God stands beside them, even in the most difficult trials.

We celebrate that! 🔥🔥

What happens when you take a story people think they already know, and look at it again?

For Daniel and Matthew Kooman, making Daniel and the Fiery Furnace meant going back to Scripture, exploring the historical world of Babylon, and asking questions that are easy to overlook. The result is a film that looks beyond the familiar moments to the people, choices, and faith behind them, and brings that story to the big screen through a distinctly Christian lens.

And perhaps the most relevant question Daniel’s story raises isn’t about Babylon at all:

What are we willing to stand for when standing firm comes at a cost?

Daniel and the Fiery Furnace releases in theaters September 18.

Hey, we're the Kooman Brothers. We founded Unveil Studios close to 20 years ago. Instead of doing film school, we decided to make our first film (E for Everyone), which brought us around the world. We've been making films and traveling ever since.

We're busy dads. Happy husbands. Entrepreneurs. Story lovers. Believers.

Unveil comes from a favourite scripture in 2 Corinthians 3.

Drop a comment if you find it.👇🏻

This is Matt. Not to be confused with Daniel, or Andrew, or our secret weapon (and older brother) Chris.

Matt is like McGyver (the hair, the industriousness, all he needs is a TV show). He solves problems, figures things out and is a good time on set. He wrote and directed Daniel and the Fiery Furnace, and has had his hands all over Unveil's other work from editing, producing, directing our films, including Dream. He gets things done.

He also roasts coffee, raises farm animals, and tells a good joke.

Give him a follow: @mattkooman

This is Dan. He sorta does it all. From raising funds, to casting dreams, to writing books and films. He has a joie de vivre that comes from seeing the world and taking teams to travel and do good.

He's the baby in the family, but also the tallest, which sometimes seems unjust. He wrote and directed Daniel and the Fiery Furnace alongside Matt and is the author of Breath of Life.

He preaches, eats fuzzy peaches, and has the best public bathroom story of all time.

Follow him on IG: @dkooman

This is Andrew. He's the nice brother. You'll have to guess which of us wrote that. If you've got our emails or devotional plans, then you've seen his quiet work. He creates on-screen content for us as well, like She Has a Name, his touring play-turned film which he wrote and produced.

He makes silly IG videos, writes church skits, drinks too much coffee, and makes the brothers spit laugh.

Follow him, too: @andrewkooman

Yep. People mix us up. A lot. It started with our parents. It continues to this day. Distributors do it, so do IG followers. We're used to it. In fact, it's a compliment, because we see in each other qualities we desire to show as individuals.

We're grateful for our journey as filmmakers which ha by @dkooman
